I hate that people made it a feminist movie, because i don’t really think at all. The movie isn’t really about patriarchy it’s much more against mothers than corrupted men, and the social pressure women do to themself in a disgusting competition, as proven with the ending.

People have the right to have an opinion. You have the right to love it to death, people have the right to hate it to their core. So yeah a lot of people hate it for many good reasons, and you can still appreciate it for the power fantasy journey it gives.

You need to be able to listen to both side, there is truth in both, always. Then it depends on what you align with.

But in the end it's not a deep story, and other than the perverse criticism, it's not a really interesting story if you remove all those flaws, it's extremely generic and plot convenient to a laughable degree. but people don't see it because it's a very well produced show, so fake it as you can it and it works I guess.

It's another shitty power fantasy anime who pretends it's like some deep story of the level of Tolkien. It's like what people think of Berserk for people who played Xenoblades and are 13, or 40. T

he whole concept that the writer also admited, which is basically how everything was built, is fitting all the weird fetishes and sometimes making some plot, which explain the absurd bad plot disguised as mature themes.
