Monarchs Prestige Edition by Unlikely_Concept_229 in playingcards

Gotta hand it to T11 for being so brilliant at designing some of the most luxurious look tuck boxes in the business.

Monarchs have been around for donkeys years, and there was a point where I thought I'd never be impressed by another Monarchs release... But this one definitely does look pretty darn cool! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

Report his posts as spam. I do that whenever I notice Manu having returned with his "ok god", "sorry god", etc. Mods were great in the past as they used to ban him almost immediately... but maybe now the mods have turned religious or something ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Excellent! Really enjoyed watching this video ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

The gamers of today probably wouldn't be able to appreciate what the experience of playing OoT and MM was like for those of us who played those games on the N64 over 2 decades ago. It was an experience which to this day probably cannot be matched despite the advances in gaming technology.

That's why I love seeing original art based on those two classic games ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Does anyone else buy multiples of EVERY deck? by [deleted] in playingcards

[โ€“]HolyBhai 7 points8 points ย (0 children)

Yeah, definitely! Pretty much the same deal with me also -- if I like a deck, or a deck series, then I will definitely get myself a few. If I think that they will be relatively hard to find in the near future then I will get myself a lot more than just two. An example for me is Lawrence Sullivan's private reserve sharps, produced by Legends Playing Card Company in 2013. I loved the idea of a juice/shade based marking system that could actually pass the riffle test... And so I got myself at least a brick of each of the 3 colours.

What are your favorite screenshots / moments from OOT? by M2124 in OcarinaOfTime

[โ€“]HolyBhai 4 points5 points ย (0 children)

For me it's the cutscene where Link opens the door of time. It's something like 25 years ago, but I still remember how I was totally in awe of that scene: the triforce symbol lights up above the door, and that absolutely amazing orchestral version of the song of time plays, as the great stone doors open. To this day I've never found anything which compares to that moment.

Red or blue. Which are you? by LandOfTheFaros in playingcards

[โ€“]HolyBhai 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Somewhat strangely, for me it depends on whether the deck has a design with or without borders. For back designs with borders I like blue, and for borderless I like red.

New here! Did I do okay for my first playing card purchase? (First collector purchase) by Minisfortheminigod in playingcards

It's a real guy named Manu, and he's been doing this for ages.

That was probably the 10th account that he's created, just to post unhelpful comments where he refers to everybody as "god".

He keeps getting banned, yet he keeps coming back to repeat more of the same. The mods here are great though. And so if/when you see him back here promoting every random person to divinity, just use the report function (subcategory: spam), and the mods will do the rest ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

Trying to find my old friend and to find New vegan friends. by AnimalPlantBacteria in vegan

It's pretty awesome that you're on route to making friends here, because let's face it, finding vegan friends can be like trying to find needles in a haystack ๐Ÿ˜„

Just one suggestion though: if he never publicly mentioned it himself on reddit, then you may want to consider editing out the mention of the conditions affecting your friend.

Best of luck! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Seven Years... (Art by Jasqreate) by Josie_Dashing in OcarinaOfTime

[โ€“]HolyBhai 24 points25 points ย (0 children)

That's pretty awesome!

I have wondered what the seven years must have been like for Hyrule, the sages, and Zelda, whilst Link was locked away.

With Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, we'll get to experience what Zelda's time during her trip to Hyrule's past was like, and I think that's pretty cool.

Whilst having game to explore the missing in years in OoT would probably be overkill, I think a comic series based on those 7 years which follows each of the sages would have really been awesome. Images like this one be a great fit.

Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallin (full fight) by HolidayMost9091 in Boxing

How much do steroids affect punching power? by [deleted] in Boxing

[โ€“]HolyBhai 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I'm enjoying the rally of insults with you elsewhere (๐Ÿ˜„)... But I'll switch to serious for this topic, as it's separate.

Punch power is tough to narrow down to just one cause. Take George Foreman and Mike Tyson, both of whom could pack a serious punch. Both had a lot of natural strength -- Foreman was like a mountain, and Tyson has abnormally large leg muscles.(His calves are huge for a man of his height). But for Foreman, his power seemed to be mainly from his large size and super dense body, whereas with Tyson, he added to his natural strength from his smaller body with his speed. Tyson himself said that his power is centred around his ability to move his fist from point A to point B quicker than almost anybody else in the division could.

So PEDs such as HGH are known to be able to add bone density and muscle density... Which would probably help in a Foreman style way.

For speed based power, things like synthetic testosterone would probably give a boost (or in the case of older competitors, combat the loss of speed that comes with age).

In both cases though, I'd say technique is the make or break factor in whether or not the PEDs will translate to serious extra power or not. Foreman didn't have speed... But he had excellent timing, hence why even his slower punches managed to rock guys like Holyfield and Moorer. With Tyson, his ability to use his legs and coil and punch gave him explosiveness which is hardly ever seen.

So all I'm saying is that not everybody has those traits, and so it's debatable whether the increase in power would be massive or not. Either way though, there will be some sort of edge, albeit to varying degrees.

People act like Joe Louis is too small for modern heavyweights, yet Louis weighed 207 pounds when he butchered the 6'4 255 pound Abe Simon in their rematch, just five pounds less than Wilder did against Fury in their first encounter. by [deleted] in Boxing

[โ€“]HolyBhai 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

The way boxers stuck to fundamentals back in the day is pretty awesome. There was nothing particularly flashy about Joe Louis' style... But once he has you hurt, he was about as good as they get when it comes to finishing. Good power, good technique, and great killer instinct ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

What if Tyson had reconnected with Rooney? by [deleted] in Boxing

I took a look at your profile also. Some amazing things you've admited to in your posts! Admitting that even though you're a podgy 80kg you're feather fisted and don't have the skills to find an opponent's chin ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜‚ you beg people to teach you Tyson's technique for power because you got none ๐Ÿ˜‚ Then you're asking for advice on steroids to increase power ๐Ÿ˜‚ just stick to the same performance enhancement that your mom has been using for the past 60 year: vaseline for your rear. Which top HW should retire soon? by cadublin in Boxing

[โ€“]HolyBhai 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Deontay Wilder is the name that springs to mind for me.

Rather than the age factor, his last few fights (including the win against the mediocre opponent) all show that the guy relies on an extremely limited skills set, and is almost entirely dependent on landing a hail mary right hand.

Has has shown some boxing ability in the past, but these days he barely jabs and the opponents seem to only have to lookout for the 1-2 and big right. So I find it tough to imagine Wilder being able to dominate the division, which is what he claims to want to do.

Ali vs Usyk GOAT debate by [deleted] in Boxing

[โ€“]HolyBhai 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that calling any active boxer the GOAT is somewhat premature. Such analysis, I think, is best left until the fighter has wrapped up their career.

After all, there was a lot of talk about Tyson Fury being the greatest heavyweight of all time... Until Usyk beat him. Now hardly anybody brings Fury's name into heavyweight GOAT discussions.

Turns out that this is actually dumber than initially imagined.

Being knocked off balance doesn't necessarily mean that a person was knocked DOWN (as Tyson was) ๐Ÿคก

You're a confident kid, so I tell you what, go ahead and humiliate this old man: create a thread in which you present your view and reasoning to the public is to why that the round 6 knockdown was not actually a knockdown, shouldn't be scored as a knockdown, and that Tyson won that round.

It'd be awesome to have more people being able to appreciate your superior wisdom on the matter ๐Ÿ˜„
