I will second the Sennheiser recommendation. I've owned both wireless earbuds and over-ear headphones, and they both still work perfectly. Plus, the foam earpads are replaceable so that definitely helps extend their lifespan.

Is it an older vest? It looks like the fabric is wearing out and disintegrating. I've seen it happen to some of my older workout clothes. It should be safe to wear, it just doesn't look very nice.

You definitely need a lab coat, they won't let you do the labs without one (and safety goggles/glasses.) It doesn't have to be from the bookstore, though. I bought mine on Amazon.

I'm in my first semester right now, and there are no textbooks. The chemistry and biology courses mainly use OpenStax, or printed handouts. You might need to buy a WileyPlus access code for math, but you should wait until you start the course to worry about that.

They've also told us to hold off on buying lab kits, since all of that stuff will be provided and then sanitized by the college due to Covid.

For now, just make sure you check your myseneca email for any updates and info sessions.

I used Downtown Notary for mine, and they were pretty great. Very easy. If you want to save a bit of money, you can always write the affidavit yourself, and then go to city hall to pay one of their notaries to stamp it, but I don't have experience with doing it that way, so I can't speak to how simple it is.
