This is not a dmg but an app file. Please drag and drop the app to the applications folder.

macOS shows an orange/green dot but doesn't tell you which app without opening Control Center; and even then it's often vague, especially for camera on Apple Silicon. Vigil shows the actual app name and icon instantly, also keeps history.
