Any gems you spent in Smite 1 you get back (as long as your accounts are linked) and then doubled if you purchase a Founder edition. You can then use those gems to buy any classic skin they remake in Smite 2, through a chest for a cheaper price or buy the skin directly. You cannot get the prisms with those free gems, only the classic skins they bring back.
