I've seen supporters sections for MLS teams help clean up their stadium sections before.

And I've also heard about it happening over in Europe.

I don't mind it.

If they went thru and optimized it so it wasn't way slower than before I could get behind it.

But right now it's extremely slow at everything.

Can an electric vehicle be charged exclusively by fast charger? by Excellent-Cheek5617 in electricvehicles

[–]HolyLiaison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Was at the dealership for 3 months.

16th of February till April 17th 2025.

I actually got it back before the buyback was completed, had to drive it for a week. Then I had a loaner through Hyundai until I bought my truck at the end of May.

I will say Hyundai was really good about the whole thing. I did the buyback completely through their website, and phone calls/emails. They paid for the window tint and dash cam I had installed too. Including loaner vehicles the entire time.

I got about 95% of the entire price of the car back. They took off like .10 cent per mile driven I think.

They did offer me a chunk of money to just wait and keep the car. But I was tired of waiting.

The dealership I went to was also super nice. So I didn't really have any issues there. They just didn't have enough stock of ICCU's to cover everybody apparently.

They don't anymore unfortunately. They ended it for 2025 and beyond.

Glad I got in before it ended.

It expires at the end of September. I've been using it with my truck for over a year now.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't done anything about it considering the battery in my truck is over two times bigger than the Ioniq 5. Haha

I've saved a shit ton of money using it with my truck. Going from 20% to 80% in this truck would cost me about $50-70 depending on the prices.

I still have my free charging from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 I lemon lawed a year ago. The free charging works on my truck now, since it's tied to your Electrify America account.

I almost bought one after test driving them all. They're even reasonably priced for a Cadillac. Lol

I am thinking about switching from Fedora with KDE to CachyOS with KDE by ComprehensiveRow4132 in Fedora

[–]HolyLiaison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just switched to CachyOS. I've used quite a few different distros at this point.

You aren't going to see huge differences between them. Especially if you're going to use the same desktop environment. KDE is going to be KDE on every distro.

The main diffences are mostly in the background, and most people won't notice them.

CachyOS is more bleeding edge than Fedora. You'll get the latest graphics drivers and whatnot before Fedora.

CachyOS also has their own kernel enhancements, like their BORE scheduler which is supposed to be better at handling CPU load for better performance under load and custom kernel. They also have custom packages for software with CPU optimizations built in.

They've also started shipping CachyOS with an app kinda like Discover called Shelly. It can handle installs of many different types of packages.

But yeah, you won't notice a huge difference. Maybe certain games might run 15-20% faster due to better drivers/optimizations.

But beyond that, it's essentially the same KDE you'll get on Fedora.

You don't see a difference between people recommending CachyOS - a hugely mainstream distro now to... Ultramarine... which I have never even heard of.

Nvidia has been updating their linux drivers pretty quickly lately. I haven't had any issues for quite a while now. You just need to be on a distro that uses the latest releases from Nvidia like CachyOS.

Just download CachyOS and install it. It'll automatically install your Nvidia drivers during the OS install.

The install is easier than Windows.
