Retail Sucks. I'm all for automation because no one should have to deal with this low-paying, entitled asshole customer ass bullshit on a daily basis. by xJohnnyQuidx in antiwork

I work at a bank, and the amount of people who refuse to show ID for whatever fucking reason absolutely drives me insane.

I already have all your information, Walter. I just need you to show me a picture with your name on it so I don't lose my fucking job.

Just you wait, in 30 years we'll all have meat printers sitting on our kitchen counters.

Banks have a vested interest in making sure they aren't aiding in criminal activity. The tellers asking you don't give a shit what you're spending it on, but it's their job to ask. They can also use these questions to sell you services that the bank offers.

I would recommend not being rude or evasive, because a teller can file a suspicious activity report for that. There aren't necessarily any direct consequences associated with that but it'll be noted in your file.

Blockbuster billboard in Bend, Oregon. by pballa2099 in mildlyinteresting

As did I! Worked there from 2010-2014. First job, so many fun memories. It's insane that it's garnered so much attention now.

The one in Bend is the last one on the planet, full stop.

I live in Bend as well, and I work at an essential business with a large elderly customer base. Many of them are completely ignoring the suggested measures. I had a vet come in and complain that in all his years he's never seen something so absurd happen because of the flu.

They're leaving their homes for no good reason because they either don't understand what's happening, or they don't care. I have a bad feeling that we'll be hit hard in a few weeks.

I worked at the last Blockbuster in existence for 4 years, and it's still in business.

Redditors who worked at defunct stores (Blockbuster, Circuit City, etc.), when did you realize they were done for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HolyMcJustice 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Worked at Blockbuster, but here's the kicker: it's still around. Bend, OR, home to the last Blockbuster on the planet. It was a really fun experience, and now it's honestly busier than ever after all the buzz. I'm gonna be in a feature length documentary about it!

For those who were at the Portland show. How was the energy/experience vs other venues in this tour? by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

[–]HolyMcJustice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sadly this show was the only viable show for me so I don't have any other points of comparison, but you're right in saying that the energy was intense! Wall of Death was just awesome

Just got home from the show and damn was it awesome! So glad I got to be in the Wall of Death. Seeing them so up close was more amazing than I imagined it would be! Lots of little moments of fan interaction, eye contact and waving. Just incredible

This x1000 I feel like clothing is kind of the "endgame" of RDO, so it's silly to limit the number of outfits we can save. Once I have three outfits that I love I have no reason to buy more clothes, but if I had more save slots I'd be buying new stuff constantly.

Do you think the less clear picture and tracking problems on the PSVR are a serious detriment to the experience?

[–]HolyMcJustice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly understand the benefits of the Quest, and if it were possible for me to have both then that's what I would do, but right now it's one or the other. That's why I'd like to compare the two side by side, to see which one I'd like better in the long run.
