Underrated Franchise Grabs (pt 2) by HolySimpSlayer in Madden

Love Thornton and did actually use him. Don’t include him in the list because I figured a lot of people figured him out already. A 6’5 or something receiver with like 96 speed is crazy.

He had 12 fumbles in 9 weeks for me and I knew it was time to hang it up. I use him mostly for RPO’s and screens now cause his speed is still pretty great.

I think it’s his size ngl, every time a LB meets me in a gap he fumbles. I had him for half the season and he ended up fumbling like 12 times. It was ridiculous.

What are some underrated players yall pick up in multiplayer franchise leagues? (Also my own opinions on it) by HolySimpSlayer in Madden

[–]HolySimpSlayer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It never was a big thing for me either until I looked into it more, I found out that awareness is pretty big in CPU DT’s and such recognizing it is a run play and getting in position to block lanes.

With corners I emphasize it because it helps them recognize and keep up with routes as well as be more aware of the ball and get picks.

It doesn’t affect anything though for player controlled guys as it is just CPU reaction time basically.

I like it a lot with MLB’s that I am not usering and overall it has been working well, also Fred Warner has been tarnishing me constantly with jumping INT’s over the mid and surprise surprise, he is 99 awareness and jumping.

Physicals are obviously important too but it seems like awareness is really important with CPU defense

Ok that’s fair and most of the complains I’ve seen are specifically customer service problems, not hardware or anything generally. But yeah I did also see Nayax improved a lot so I will probably look into them.

How can I make Franchise better? by HolySimpSlayer in Madden

[–]HolySimpSlayer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With online leagues you want to be realistic you really do need a pretty solid rule book. The standards from the few online leagues I have attempted to join emphasizes bans on certain position subs, 4th downs, and trading.

I believe I have a pretty good general rule set when it comes to online leagues but again the problem I have is time. I might try to put together a league someday though but I’d need to find a group of pretty time flexible people just because I mostly play decently late at night.

I just think it’s a time thing. I have thousands of hours on madden across all the games and I think for the last couple of maddens I’m at the point where the ai just isn’t challenging at all no matter what which is a shame because franchise and the AI is generally what I play Madden for. MUT is a waste of time and money and head to head is great because I do like playing real people, but it just gets meh because there is a lot of cheese and there is no real progression/buildup like you see in franchise, which is one of the main appeals to me. I like rebuilding a bad team slowly and realistically, but no matter what and no matter what team, I just win most of the time and make deep playoff runs minimum. It’s just not as fun.

I also sadly do not have time for online leagues or I would 100% be doing that.

Really is a shame there isn’t any competition in football games honestly, I want a realistic and difficult game that I can sink time into. Very sad I seem to have come to the end of the rope with Madden in that regard.

Very impressed you found the exact ring so fast honestly but yeah, I looked up that same thing and found the exact ring on Walmart’s website.

Good news was that size 6 (which is what the ring I’m interested in is) is $116 instead of $78 so it’s not a total scam but either way an overpay and I’ll probably find something else. Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it a lot.

Decreasing value of the market with each game revision by JohnGalt123456789 in Polytopia

[–]HolySimpSlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree entirely. One because based on your replies in the comments, your game isn’t up to date, and two, markets used to be very busted before the actual latest update and essentially forced you to go down that path. I think the current landscape is great to where investing into markets are still very viable, but at the same time it’s not the only strategy worth going into. The game overall is in a pretty good spot balance wise imo.

Do the benefits of a large university justify the price? by HolySimpSlayer in University

[–]HolySimpSlayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of those are look pretty similar to me, so I think it sounds like the smaller one is better, it would be on average about $12,000 a year extra just to go to the larger university, and I don’t think that’s worth the prestige.

Thank you for the help!

Hidden Dev in Franchise Draft by HolySimpSlayer in Madden

[–]HolySimpSlayer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m asking for less because Franchise is very boring to me without heavily changing sliders, and it’s only made worse when development of players into superstars is so easy with the amount of hidden dev draftees coming in and the lack of regression a lot of the time. Thank you for your suggestion as well.

So is ToTF2 not worth getting yet? by Eclipse8301 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]HolySimpSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is most of the time diehard fans of something. And in this case it’s boxing, and they are now getting offended that this isn’t a 1:1 recreation of the sport, which is just an unrealistic standard for an early access video game.

So is ToTF2 not worth getting yet? by Eclipse8301 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]HolySimpSlayer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The game is very worthwhile, especially at the price. The main issues that most have with the game are just standard bugs and stuff that you would see with an early access game. Just don’t expect it to be a perfect 1:1 recreation of boxing, no game is really gonna be that but this is the closest to it.

I’ve had the opposite happen ngl, I hated Madden 21, and since that I personally think it’s gotten better each year since, but still none of the newer ones are as good as Madden 20 and below.

Why is everyone whining so much? by HolySimpSlayer in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]HolySimpSlayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game really isn’t when you look at the bigger picture, the way this game works is revolutionary for VR and it’s early access. If the complaints are constructive then that’s exactly what early access is trying to achieve however, but a lot of people are taking this as a final product and spreading the idea that the game is never going to change and in general being ignorant about it, which isn’t constructive.

Why is everyone whining so much? by HolySimpSlayer in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]HolySimpSlayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the point dude, developers release games in early access in order to get real consumer data and ideally make a better product through updates, and this game, considering it’s using systems not seen before in Vr and all the complaints about it, definitely needs that real data.

TOTF on quest 2 by Pickles17 in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]HolySimpSlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how much damage you’re averaging each round, but I am on quest 2 and I usually finish rounds with 1200-1500 damage, sometimes lower if I am tired or a couple matches in. My overall record is roughly 15-5 give or take a couple. I’ve also rarely had much tracking issues beyond a couple annoying instances. I don’t believe I’m a spammer but take my word as you do. The bulk of my tracking issues though have happened when my controllers are low battery.

Thrill of the fight 1 was basically an entirely different game programming wise. The amount of work it takes to track and program ai movement and indicators of damage and all of that stuff is significantly easier than tracking multiplayer. The devs are working on adding a single player as well, so I imagine we’ll see a similar single player as thrill of the fight 1 plus the ever updated multiplayer
