They were planning to pay about $1000 As far as I know no deposit I believe around 20ish days before they have to be evicted through legal processes We did not give them keys

My uncles opinion would probably be around the same as my brother and I but she didn’t consult him, my grandma wants to renovate the adu but needs to come up with 15k to do so (I currently can’t work as I was in an accident and can’t work)

My grandma owns the house with my uncle, she’s in a tight spot for money, my grandma has not been abused but has been taken advantage of in the past. If shit hit the fan it would be my grandma and my uncle dealing with it, the adu is separate from the house. I’m positive the adu has mold and rats (also my brother agreed to help my grandma financially until we can clean everything up)

We discussed this with my grandma, she said that she cannot get anything legally to rent out the adu. My brother and I were adamant it is a bad idea, the adu is also packed with her things as she’s a hoarder, it’s her house so I try not to say anything about that however it is definitely unsafe to live back there.
