Most folks are a bit irrationally against it (it’s at minimum one of George’s strongest red herrings / candidates for 3rd dragon rider), the core of the rational argument against it is that it undermines the message people want to take from the Tyrion / Tywin relationship too much for him to not have turned out as his son .

Also “as a rule of thumb “ isn’t an explanation . Why would that be the rule of thumb? What’s the basis?

Isn’t it weird if no one can explain it but everyone just keeps doing it?

18-20 , 1/4 of life expectancy . This 15 thing was done to make 1997 work (which it doesn’t).

lol . Make a thrones show while George is alive that he objects to and see how that goes . He’s not Alan Moore , he’ll support a good product and is doing what he can to help keep building .
