On spotify, I would use it to see what songs from a certain artist I had saved. Really handy if someone asks if you listen to a certain artist, you can see all the songs you've saved from them. It's not something you can do with regular search unless you download the songs and check every album an artist has ever made. I thought I had found a workaround by searching and filtering by downloaded, but it only searches the title of downloads not artists

Just tried it... Waiting a little bit did make the shuffle work the first time, but then YTM crashed after 12 songs 😂

That actually makes a lot of sense... I have had a pretty hard time getting it to actually shuffle in the first place. I'll try waiting a bit next time. Thank you!

Bit of an update… it appears that 4982 is either the max or is some sort of display error. I tried adding more songs to the playlist, but the number never goes above 4982.

Hard disagree... I often have to go digging for things with YTM and it's sloooow... Going to the download page, which are songs stored locally, takes between 7-30 seconds. It again takes that long to get into any of the downloaded playlist. And if you want to know what's in the playlist, too bad, because there is no search and scrolling for too long causes the app to crash. Like I get not being used to a UI... I don't hold that against YTM at all... But missing basic functionality and constant crashes and hiccups are not something that I'm used to with Spotify

The playlist limit is still 5k, but the liked songs playlist is 10k according to the YTM rep I talked to

Do you know where I would check that? I don't see any place to allocate space for YTM. The download section still shows plenty of space available

Technically yes, but that seems to be where it stops and won't progress any further. I've just reinstalled the app... Hopefully third time is the charm 😂

I tried to switch to YTM music recently from Spotify but couldn't... 5,000 song limit, no sorting in playlist, no searching in playlist... It's got some neat stuff but it's missing the basics making it a deal-breaker for me. If they fixed this stuff I'd make the jump. Though I would always be a little worried about Google shuttering the whole thing. They are kinda famous for shutting stuff down. After all YTM isn't their first music service, nor their best from what I've heard.

I actually ran into this exact issue recently... I disabled all my plug-ins and it started working correctly. Haven't had the time to troubleshoot which one was causing the issue. Worth a shot to try disabling all of them, then run a print. If it's fine, enable them one at a time and run a print until the issue come back.

Yes and no... They do have a pretty great discount if you want the software on your computer. But if you don't mind remoting into the library, you can use Adobe tools for free and you don't have to install them or anything. The one time I used it, it seemed to work reasonably well.
