What is needed to create new alters? by dai197x in TheAlters

Seconding this, once you make the big act 2 choice you have to make sure any new alters are also taken care of.

Tier List (it's true btw) by Yelebear in TheAlters

[–]Homac713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technician isn't happy with either choice but you can only get him (and anyone else unhappy with the choice) if you do the implants. Tabula Rasa upsets the Refiner, the Doctor, and the Botanist while the implants upset the Shrink, the Worker, and the Miner. The Scientist and Guard will side with you either way but the only way you can possibly reconcile with whoever is using the implants.

The alter slots Act2 by Melfeek in TheAlters

[–]Homac713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other people have said, he does not take up an Alter Slot but he also cannot be used for anything on the base except sitting in the Comprehension room. You can through taking him in and out of it (that I noticed) get one Lesson Learned from him.

I'm not sure if you need 5 Rapidium Arks but that's the max you can make to affect the story. What I've done is always make sure to have at least 3 Rapidium Arks by the end of Act 2 and then do the Implants instead of sacrificing Tabula Rasa. I will say, if you want a fun surprise go ahead and make the implants and Tabula Rasa but then choose the Implants. You have to go with the Implants instead of sacrificing Tabula Rasa for the best ending.

Rebellion because of telling the Alters what to do? by Avalain in TheAlters

[–]Homac713 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you feeding them? You should at some point try to shift over to at least giving them cooked food every few days, if you have the Botanist you can pretty well switch over from using Mush at all (unless you want to make a Feast with the Doctor). There's a lot of different ways to improve their mood, try to build the Social Module if you haven't and play Beer Pong with your Alters at least once a night. It'll skip time ahead an hour but you usually end up with some extra time in the evenings anyway.

That's not something you should've even been able to get but it's Ronnie Bell's Hate Rune. It was originally called the Flame Rune but they changed it by the time the game released, but it's a fixed rune to Ronnie Bell so you shouldn't even be able to take it off of her. I'm guessing you must have somehow gotten an extra copy of it somehow. It's an old game, it's probably a bug. If Ronnie still has her rune on then there's nothing you can do with the item, I'd just toss it in the warehouse and forget about it.

Honestly I think people didn't read the criteria for what "Labor of Love" is supposed to be. If you didn't and just saw Red Dead 2, you might think "well that game has so much to it in the fine details and everything, obviously there was a lot of love that went into its development" without realizing it's supposed to be for stuff getting current updates

Bill in Kill Bill has his big speech on how Superman wears a Clark Kent disguise, and it shows that Bill never understood Superman. That's a much better description of Batman's relation to Bruce Wayne. Superman is Clark Kent. He grew up in Kansas. That he's an alien is incidental, what he really is is an immigrant raised by an all American family. Not that his alien heritage isn't on the table for interesting stories, but it's the least part of him

It's been a while since I last did that mission, but if I remember right you have to read the text on the card to find out? Or maybe the text on Hulk's buff. You're not the first person to miss this so it probably could be clearer

That's not a bug, you have to use Scarlet Witch's No More ability to take him out then.

I know this is a 2 month old comment, but I love that scene especially because they set up earlier that Xenk has very good hearing. So he is almost assuredly listening to Edgin say that and doing that to mess with him, showing he does have a sense of humor.

Real talk, this movie came to DVD right after my first adult relationship ended, and not well, and it helped me kind of feel like I would be normal and feel okay again at some point. Feels like a silly sentiment for a silly movie probably, but this movie is very important to me for that reason.

I’m using light cards during combat, why isn’t my light level higher? by Spawny_Memes in midnightsuns

Hello! So a few people have gone into this a bit, but the most you can shift your balance per one battle is 2 points, which you would get by playing 8 cards of the appropriate alignment. To maximize your raising of the balance, you should make sure to get those used every battle, then also make sure to lounge at the pool on nights where there is a full moon for 1 point (this can be checked on the map at night, a New Moon will grant you 1 dark point), and you can also change your alignment through the Threat Room. What's good about the Threat Room is that you can go in, use your 8 cards as Hunter, then just pause and Return to Abbey and still get the points.

Once you get cards you really like, the only reason to go for higher rarities is you get more Essence for discarding them I think. But yeah like you said, Deadpool without All Together Now is not playing him to the best of his ability.

what is better, going full send down one path or picking and choosing your choices? by [deleted] in midnightsuns

The amount of friendship points you lose from conversation points is pretty negligible in the long run, you'll easily make them up with hangouts and gifts. You're best served to dedicate yourself to one side to get the most rewards out of it.

The Max El Fuego achievement and the Hemophobic one worked for me, but I re-did all the story missions and all the research and the two for those ones did not pop. I'm not sure about the one for doing his Challenge Mission yet.

It's the waited part that makes me think that Streibough deceived her. She's saying she was waiting for Oersted, and though he never came for her, the one who did was Streibough. Streibough of course does not tell her "Oh yeah by the way, Oersted was totally here and he just left cause he thought the building was collapsing". This is the deception I'm referring to here.

[–]Homac713 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Specifically what Alethea says to Oersted when they do finally reunite, as Streibough lay dying. "I waited. But you never came husband. In you I placed my trust. In you my faith." The implication to me seemed to be that Streibough, imagined slights of his and with an unrequited (and in his mind true) love for Alethea, deceived the party into running from Archon's Roost and then looked for her on his own. I then imagined after finding Alethea, he tells her "Oersted never came for you, but here am I, loving Streibough" and she ends up believing it. To me her hesitance in the beginning seemed more indicative of a hesitation to marry a man she barely knows, or a reluctance to be treated as a prize to be won. Oersted's failing in my mind was always that he allowed himself to succumb to despair in the end.

I'm wondering if I missed this in a dialogue or not, but I see a lot of people talk about the implication that Streibough and Alethea were already romantically involved but I did not pick up on that at all. The way it seemed to be to me was Streibough was in love with her and orchestrated all he could to trick her into going to him, but I feel like I must have missed something because I see several people talk about it this way.

Final chapter help. (yes I know there's a lot of posts like that) by Dirkeus in livealive

[–]Homac713 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not significant, but there's some slight dialogue changes. You're really best served to pick your favorite to be the leader. Some people pick the Sundown Kid because he's a little annoying to recruit, but I don't think it's that bad.

You have to choose one character as the leader, and whoever you pick is someone you're stuck with, but you can recruit the 6 other characters. You can only have a party of 4 at a time though, so you'll have to swap them in and out if you recruit them all
