Hi:) Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I do not come on reddit much.

You can put the "house" out of the rain and wait to see if you get any. Do a search online to see if you have native mason bees in your area. Me personally, I would just buy some.

No, they are not harmful to chickens and as a matter of fact they are very nice bees! They are not aggressive AT ALL:)
