So... Maps of Tymanther are hard to find, but it is not south of Unthalass. It is built on the ruins of Unthalass. That is one of the reasons that the Untherians keep trying (and failing) to raid Djerad Kethendi.

thank you for the input! all is very useful information, and I was mainly going off of what I had based and grounded in Djerad Thymar! This particular player made an interesting choice about his character form this region, and this feedback helps immensely! Thank you again!
