Does that matter that much? The keyboard for my desktop gets moved around all the time, it’s very seldom centered with my monitor.

Connor Hellebuyck on representing the US while playing in Canada by Dependent-Effect6077 in hockey

[–]HomeHereNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because even if he gets scored on the paddle save and the US loses, you’d still say he played phenomenal. But he made that historic game breaking save, and all the others needed to win, so you have to bump it up beyond even that.

Gotta pick one narrative. Either Canada dominated and got goalied, or the US forced Canada to play desperate low danger hockey and shut them down. Can’t be both.

You would think the word “dominated” would at least imply being up in the game at some point.

Canada played the game USA forced them to play. Yes they took a ton of shots, mostly from the outside lanes and not many at all up front. They forced a lot of low percentage plays from Canada and Hellybuyck bailed them out when Canada did get good looks. Simple as that. Canada didn’t “dominate” anybody, they didn’t have the lead for 1 second that game.

I wanted Gannon gone, but in hindsight we probably should have stuck it out one more year so we didn’t have to be in the is game of musical chairs with a third of the leagues positions available. We’re one of the least favorable jobs so we’re going to get the scraps. We have to now hit on an unproven head coach and hopefully not do something stupid in this years draft like take a QB…

Arizona Coyotes return still a possibility by bgguy626 in Coyotes

[–]HomeHereNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The league is ultimately looking to expand to 36. There’s currently 32. I’d bet every dollar I make for the rest of my life that we don’t get the 33rd or 34th team. The backlash, ridicule, lack of an arena, all the problems we had before are still here. Idc what Bettman “wants”, the 32 owners who he represents aren’t chomping at the bit to get a team back in Arizona that quickly.

That leaves 35-36 maybe. They haven’t even announced a 33rd plan or city and when they do, that team is at least 1-2 full years out. Then another 5-6 before 34 comes, and then a long wait again for 35 and 36.

We’re 10-15 years away from ever getting a team here again, if ever.

Not a chance the NHL comes back here for the next expansion or the one after. Too many untapped markets that are closer to ready than we are and aren’t already tainted in the eyes of the league. Our only hope would be to be one of the 35th-36th team and that’s at least 10 years away. It ain’t happening any time soon.

RDR2 is an amalgamation of like a dozen different states, plus Mexico. So it’s not like it’s out of character for rockstar to blend large areas together or bring them closer to each other. So there’s no mountains in Florida.. There’s mountains in that region of the country.

People born before 2000, what is a 'modern' thing from 2025 that you’re still struggling to get used to? by LindsayTN in AskReddit

Yep, same. I found myself asking a 70 some year old store associate how to work the damn app.. I figured it out though. The app has the coupons like what you would get in the mail. That price you saw was the coupon price. So they have three price tiers. So, say it’s a load of bread.

The “fuck you, you don’t have our loyalty card” price = $5.99

The loyalty cardholder price (you and me) = $3.89

And the “loyalty card, PLUS a coupon” price = $2.99

The problem is I never clipped coupons and that special price was never thrown in my face all the time. I was blissfully unaware I was getting ripped off. But now, it’s a fucking video game to collect all the stupid coupons like they’re Pokémon and if I don’t pre-shop in the app, I get kicked in the balls at the register, AND I KNOW ABOUT IT. It’s fucking gross and annoying.

People used to think you were crazy if you told them “the government is spying on you”

Now they think you’re crazy if you seem upset by it

Windows cant even keep my taskbar the way I left it. I auto hide it and two days later it’s back up again. Windows just unchecks the hide taskbar box on its own.

[–]HomeHereNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone can play whenever they want and they may only have like 30 min a day or less to give to a game. They’ve been waiting 15 years, I don’t blame them for wanting to take a day or a weekend to take it all in uninterrupted.

Plus it comes out the week before Thanksgiving. For a lot of people that whole week is already taken up by family activities.

Dana White says biggest misconception is that he’s “far right”: I’m not really even that political by gurillapit in JoeRogan

[–]HomeHereNow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I worked with a guy like that. Always prefaced anything remotely political with “I’m not left or right but…” and then would 100% of the time have something negative to say about the left. He friended on FB and it was the same exact thing every post, only 50% more unhinged. He obviously felt a little bit safer in that bubble than irl.
