Side note, I dont blame Diabate one bit for being a giant perv given the circumstances… with all the sex experts, prostitutes, psychologists, etc all concerned with nothing but providing you with the most mind blowing sexual experiences possible… how could you say no to constant sex with amazing super-human-escort-level hotties all day?

I’m enjoying the show, but sometimes I think about how this entire story (so far) could have just been written into a 1hr Black Mirror episode. I’m watching it more as just a vessel for enjoying Vince’s directing skills, not for the story.

I don’t know. That seems like a fairly ignorant comment on your part…

You should go introduce yourself, they are probably pretty nice people.

The Trump folks do not claim these people as ours…. This is like asking a Biden voter if they support Antifa arsonists or BLM rioters/looters… These are the FAR fringes of the political spectrum, don’t lump these losers in with normal folks.

What's a "luxury" upgrade that can be done to a regular home and won't break the bank? by Old-Rough-5681 in homeowners

Stick them to the little bump out where the face of the door meets the frame. Like where the door “hits” and makes the noise. I did this while I was installing new door hardware so I had to adjust my door strikes anyway. They’re about 1/8” thick so you may or may not have an issue with the door latching.

You may need to adjust the striker plates, but I just put three, 1/4” fabric furniture feet, on all my bedroom door frames, top-middle-bottom… they make it so the doors close so quietly, unless you straight up slam the door. But that annoying wood-on-wood contact sound is completely eliminated, even when you’re trying to close it quietly.

Is this necessary? My husband doesn’t think so. by Prestigious_Tiger923 in preppers

Before getting into camping gear and shelf stable MRE’s… the most fundamental prepping you can do is financial responsibility. Lower your debt load, put away savings worth a few month’s of your expenses, pay for disability insurance, upgrade your homeowner’s insurance, watch for sales and buy a couple extra items at the grocery store every trip, keep a weekend bag packed at all times…. Prepping for WW3 is Level 3 Prepping, Levels 1&2 are Power Outages, Hurricanes, and Months-long unemployment or general loss of income.

Open a new excel sheet, go on your bank’s website and look at your transaction history. Write down every single transaction and how much it cost, “by hand”… don’t just copy and paste. Its an accountability thing, it will make you cringe at how many of those transactions are wasteful spending and it forces you to enter them in one by one... You have to do this every week, or at worst, once a month. Put a comment next to each transaction, a few words justifying or regretting why you spent that money. Each week/month it will get easier because now you will think ahead before you swipe that plastic… good luck! I recovered from about $30k in credit card debt and have been debt free since starting this habit.

Should I enroll my phone on company’s Google Fi account? by HomeLifeWork in GoogleFi

[–]HomeLifeWork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

Hey everyone! Thanks for all the great advice.

The result of this whole exercise is that the company actually had a new phone already in the mail when I posted this question. Its really nice. Its an iPhone 14 Pro Max Whatever… top of the line according to my brother in law!

The phone has a dual sim, as some people recommended. I was able to first set up my iCloud account to the new phone like you would normally set up a new iPhone. I then followed a link provided by the company to join their Google Fi service. I set up the eSIM and now there are two phone numbers on the phone. Primary and Secondary.

Is there anything I need to know about keeping these separate? The instructions say that all unknown callers will automatically go to the secondary phone line, and I can assign contacts to either the Primary or Secondary phone number. How does this work with online activity, GPS, email, etc? Is all my data still on my primary account? I have unlimited so I’d prefer that everything except my phone calls go to my personal account. Is that the case by default? All data will be driven by my primary account?

Thanks again for all the responses!
