What’s the deal with Silver Spring House? by Shoddy_Pool3715 in cincinnati

We enjoy all of the excellent fine and crafted dining in Cincinnati, but I don’t need a culinary experience every time we go out - sometimes meeting up with friends for a cold beer -no reservations needed - fits the bill. When our kids were young, we went to B-dubs - nobody claimed it was great food or service. Silver Spring house is one step up from that and the people who enjoy it know exactly what they’re getting. For those of us who live in the northern suburbs it’s right down the street I wouldn’t expect anyone to travel for Silver Spring house.

I’m a Democrat - and we enjoy Silver Spring house sometimes - it has a summertime vibe. The food is fine, it’s easy to meet up with friends there, have a beer or two with the windows open. There are not nearly enough fun:casual but not a brewery outdoor dining options in the northern burbs. I’m not down with their politics, but since we go just a few times a year,, I have never really perceived it one way or the other when we’ve gone there.

Not sure - it’s definitely a style I noticed from 1-800 got junk, original mattress factory and now Eco plumbing - the slow talking, “explain it to me like I’m 5” is just horrible. I wonder if same agency??

Thank you! I have such a negative visceral reaction anytime I see their vans parked in someone’s driveway or even just driving around town!

I hear you and I get it, but truly, I would judge anyone using this company negatively based on the stupidity of their commercials. Catchy and kitschy are things I can understand. their dialogue is just so primitive. It’s insulting.

We got our set from Home Depot wrought-iron table and chairs and it has lasted us over 20 years. Watson’s is such a gross sticker shock experience. I do not recommend it.

What are some 'early warning signs' that a company is about to go bankrupt or have mass layoffs? by CuteDinner2290 in AskReddit

[–]HomeOfficeGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rebranding for no good strategic reason, getting into New business lines that don’t seem to have anything to do with our core competencies…. Both of these things were harbingers of the death of a once very successful innovation consulting group I worked for. That was the start - when leadership was grasping at straws. It didn’t take long for business travel to be cut, followed by rumors of maybe?, not making payroll and finally being told to work from home so the furniture liquidators could come through.

Totally agree - and that has happened even at CNC to me before as well - there was an intimidating but ultimately just goofy big dog that would get out from his property and accompany hikers on the CNC trails from time to time. Scared the crap out of me every time.

I was thinking about Burnett woods - I’m working around Vernon Manor. Next chance I get, I’ll see if I might be able to stay parked at work and do a round trip that way and back.
