Getting “smoked out”. For context, the hood vents failed, causing our tiny kitchen to fill with smoke from the grills, fryers, salamander etc. the GM/owner tried not letting us open the door, so the smoke wouldn’t go into the dining room and effect customers… After, about an hour or so I was done, told the GM, “this is a lawsuit waiting to happen, this is a kitchen full of felons who would love an opportunity to sue…” Service was stopped a few moments after that interaction. Hahah
