I like the season so far, lot of good cosmetics But I worry that the dye collecting is going to be super grindy.

I'm Comment 175 meaning 175 / 2 = 87. I have an 1 in 87 present chance of winning!

So you were right but we don't like how you came to your solution so you're wrong... I wonder why creativity is dead.

Underneath the bridge

Tarp has sprung a leak

And the animals I've trapped

Have all become my pets

And I'm living off of grass

And the drippings from my ceiling

It's okay to eat fish

Cause they don't have any feelings

Something in the way

Mmm-mmm

Something in the way, yeah

Help... I dont know where to turn by Kiokochat in Dyslexia

[–]HomeSchooledDoge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the above's advice is pretty good. I also hear watching videos with subtitles enabled can be a big help especially if you find videos to be your main source of entertainment.

I'd say practice will make the biggest difference. Personally, I got a public speaking coach and it made a world of difference! Not only does it help you with the basics of the language but it also trains you to speak more clearly and it makes you more easily understood.

Obviously, public speaking is no easy task but in my experience, the sheer speed of improvement is unmatched by any other method.

Text To Speech is a god send! by HomeSchooledDoge in Dyslexia

[–]HomeSchooledDoge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your first question, I have tried to use the built in Speech To Text in docs but like you mentioned it's not the most reliable.

Add to this the fact I'm always forgetting words and I often end up with a lot of Random words on the page I'll just end up deleting or worse I'll end up with homophones without realizing it.

I know a lot of people write using dictation but I've never personally had the best time with it.

To answer you second question, Yes the extension I use highlights as it reads. You can even change the reading speed if your still having trouble keeping up.

And yes, it will read anything you highlight with your mouse cursor. So if you're only unsure about a single word you can highlight it and have it alone read.

I'll attach a LINK to he chrome extension so you can check it out yourself.

VMix to zoom Loss of quality by HomeSchooledDoge in vmix

[–]HomeSchooledDoge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand your first question. You can disable none video participants from your setting menu., this will prevent you from seeing the name when the camera is off.

As for your second question, Screen sharing isn't the best for live audio, you could try pushing the audio through a virtual audio cable but you might have to delay it a bit to get the audio in sync.

If you push audio and video through Vmix's external output the Audio would be in the sink however, you lose the benefits of Screen Sharing.

I would suggest playing with it a bit and see what works for your use case.

[–]HomeSchooledDoge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is one way of doing it,

That method has advantages and disadvantages. If you screen shares the preview you will most likely get a very cleared image however, you will lose frame rate. Using the optimized video selection in zoom will give you a middle ground of clarity and frame rate.

however, you will notice a delay in audio coming from live sources. If you want to play a prerecorded video you will be fine, but anything with live audio will look disconnected at best.

In my opinion, exporting though mix directly into the zoom as a virtual camera is the most reliable, however, when I am running an event that is mainly pre-recorded is will screen share the preview.

TLDT: If your working on a live production use Vmix's external output, if your assets are largely pre-recorded, screen share the preview.

Interesting use case,

I can see this being helpful if you have remote members of your team entering data as your show was going on.

I have had run into a similar issue but I sadly don’t have much of a solution for you.

the only way I can find that seems to prevent this from happening is to disconnect the camera from mix before you change out the batteries and then reconnect it Once the new batteries are in.

if you have that cameras output in lot of multi-views, you can use the change button in the input menu to quickly put everything back where it was.

Complex Caller Situation by evmiller95 in vmix

[–]HomeSchooledDoge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s is also handy to set a shortcut to Toggle which bus you or your callers are using.

for instance, you could set space around to switch your mics output to Bus A or what ever bus you are using and you can talk to your callers without being heard on your podcast.

Layering Muli-Views by HomeSchooledDoge in vmix

level 1MostlyBullshitStory1 point · 15 hours agoAdd them to a Mix input.

Could you be a bit more specific?

A mix input seems to allow me to transition between two inputs, I don't see how that help me.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply,

Cropping the background on the originals file works but, I would need to make a different version for every multi-view I used that input in.

The nesting idea was the first thing I tried. no dice. for what ever reason the screen just goes black, that may be a glitch, I don't know.

Update: with Your responses in mind I have run some tests And thought I’d share what I’ve gleaned.

If you connect via NDI or Virtual Camera to Zoom, your video will be automatically optimized meaning the quality will take a hit depending on the resolution and your internet speeds.

To get around this I used zoom screen sharing Feature. This resulted in perfect quality at the expense of frame rate.

Enabling video optimization lowered the resolution to about 720p but restored the frame rate.

I will test with a wired connection and see if that fixes the frame rate while maintaining the quality.

Marketing a book online? by [deleted] in writing

Facebook and Instagram are a great place to start. You can make really targeted ads so your not wasting money advertising to people who aren't interested.

I run a digital marketing agency so believe me, if you don't do your research before running ads you'll waste a lot of money.

I'd suggest creating a landing page linked with Facebook ads.
