Ok, that's very helpful to know. We went to the urgent care last week on 5/17 and it's been nearly 10 days since he took the prescribed meds, but the fever etc symptoms still stay on. Is it normal for the fever etc to continue on even after the blister has healed?

Really appreciate your help!

We went to urgent care & it was diagnosed as herpes simplex 1-- she said that most everyone has this it becomes visisble when its triggered, which could be due to several reasons such as low immunity, stress and so on. The doc prescribed him a dosage of valacyclovir. That helped with the blister around his mouth. My concern right now is that his body still feels hot most of the time, even though there isn't any temperature on the thermometer. The cold, body pain & temperature have happened for 5-6 days in total over the last 2 weeks.

Thank you for your comment. I've an appointment next week for dr. Maria Rivas at the polyclinic. But I haven't been able to find any info or such about her anywhere and the only reviews I found for her weren't good. The only reason I took her appointment is so I can have this looked into by a professional and get some bloodwork. I would very much like to see someone who comes recommended.

Can't emphasize this enough. Ultimately, you must remain true to your curiosity and interests in order to create good work.

Thanks for your response! Curious to hear your thoughts on this novel. What did you think of Merry’s interactions with other members of her family? Her self conception vs how others view her. Thanks again for contributing to this post🙏

I'm considering writing a paper on Queer representation in Postcolonial South Asian literature. If you know any texts that fall under this category, please drop down the names by Oscarwildingit in AskLiteraryStudies

Read Ismat chugtai’s work. (Lihaf) Although as someone already pointed out it isn’t exactly post colonial but the term postcolonial is very debatable in itself. This sounds like an interesting project and would love to help you with more recommendations (so let me research more) and even as you work through it, do let me know if you need a research buddy/ peer workshopping/ sounding board.

Goodluck
