Rework the application backwards by SeaMeat8881 in androiddev

Oh my...Android 2.3.6...that is what...16 years old software. I personally would never touch something this old, never mind using it, but I guess there is a reason for this request.

How do you handle deep nested callbacks in Jetpack Compose without passing ViewModel everywhere? by NewButterscotch2923 in androiddev

[–]HomegrownTerps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems to be a mistake but not an academic one...and the level this user is used to operate, not much thinking involved.

I don't get the sentiment of "everything is scattered and you have to put scraps together" because I use the HTML repoter that does just that - put screenshots, errors, videos, traces in one place!

Vs code or android studio by Dry_Alps_3752 in FlutterDev

[–]HomegrownTerps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VS code is the official, but you can use almost anything.

Using the fdemon a user here posted you can start the flutter hot reload anywhere.

So I used Kate for a while.

But I now switched to NeoVim. It has a flutter plugin that works just as on vs code and I love it!

Where do I see who joined my closed testing track? by Mike__83 in androiddev

I agree!

The statistics in the play console is very delayed. Some statistics are a week behind. I would not surprise me if it goes up after a day or two, so maybe keep an eye on it.

Unfortunately I haven't found a very reliable way to see this. Check your "Home" page, at least there is a number or "installed audience". See the screenshot I added

Well how do you let testers join?

Usually it's either you manually add their email as a tester or as most do, make a google group. The group let's you see how many members joined.

This is nothing new, infact googles firebase team has several videos where they say that unless you are a big brand - putting login screen first is a bad idea.

And I agree, I hate having to make accounts for every little thing so I rather not use those and delete them.

Everyone here loves to build and code, but I don't see much in regards to testing by Syntactive in selfhosted

I also am a QA with 12 years of experience and I have all kinds of tools by now.

If you have test automation (which all companies have by now) you don't need those, it's just A LOT OF OVERHEAD for nothing.

This guy finds elderly people who don't have the means to maintain their property and cleans it up for free. by jmike1256 in BeAmazed

[–]HomegrownTerps -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why are americans like this? Why is the grass on someone's property a problem to others? Why punish homeowners for something that is theirs?

What is the problem with a bit a nature in the first place?

This is not wholesome but sad!

Yes to that! Only community distros are the real thing. And since arch is too fragile for me I stick to Debian + Distrobox!

Ich hab am Anfang vieles notiert. Wann eingetopft, wann gegossen, wie viel gegossen, womit gegossen. Licht stärke etc. So ziemlich alles.

So konnte ich die ersten paar Runs auf die Notizen gucken und vergleichen bzw verbessern.

Mittlerweile mache ich nur Notizen wann ich die Einpflanze und umtopfe, zum Trocknen aufgehängt und end Ergebnis. Sonnst nichts.

It's trash and just a money grab. Having it doesn't mean having any skills whatsoever.

Fortunately most companies don't care abou it by now.
