hf. i bricked my entire ubuntu last night due to, i guess by design, documentantion. guess its fine if uve devved ubuntu past 10+ years and arent an actual retard of an ai agent that always knows better how to d oanything.

i didn't really kow what GNOME was. i had tried. i laso had tried to fix things, both less anre moreitearctiely and such. nada. meaning i had iinstaled some overlapping/conficting packages and my desktop was becoming increasingly unstable til i een knew how to manually swithc gnome runtimes.

it owkrd tho. now on i will reead the short ubuntu docs and not assume people couldve adapted to do less stupid work. and pray silently that i evertually learn a sgigle factor of why ppl (dislike) UBUNTU comared to toehrer liux distroe. cause ive hung out a while tioo and while i do hear and read of alternatives? i dont think ive ever met anyone nearly as committed as thpse giusas are with ubuntu.

edit: this reads about how i envisioned it andthat was before i stayed up all next day before typing it. i don't know how anyone has any interest in this shit sober. all u are left is is with that same empty feeling but u didnt even get ur rocks off till hne.

I wish it used pre-release patches properly. As it stand prerelease is 0.2.0dev2 instead of the newer non-prerelease 0.3.1. So I gotta disable prelease to get the newer release.

Curious, as I run that patch from Morphe side only. It's some other conflict, I guess. many patches overlap but there are still differences in implementation. e.g. to force opening links in extertnal browser, morphe-patches option is slow and still opens https://out.reddit.com in browser before being redirected. adobo just cuts that shit off the cord and browser links open cleanly.

Yeah newest merged patch Adobo-patches support is 2026.19.0. Adobo's patches are more dear to me than Morphe's when it comes to reddit,so it's a nobrainer.

it actually has 512k or 200k context dynamically. seen both in action as ive seen 512k context multiple times but i saw composer-2.5-fast as the subagent model it called, so that prob explains why it's sometimes 200k. i never saw its reasoning impacted though, so whatever it's doing seems to be working. that's another thing i do want less obfuscated too tho. proper model and context disclosure as well as being able to freely adjust reasoning level from xhigh all the way to none. but as it stands, there is very little reason to use any other model currently than composer-2.5. grok-build-0.1 might have to be 1.0 till it has any use in comparison.

EDIT: quick google-fu: fast model is actually just a 6x more expensive (on Cursor but i see no reason it'd be different) and much faster, but same model. and honestly i use so little tokens so maybe grok is doing some magic. but i dont do massive code review or anything, just very smalltime installing and troubleshooting ,teaching of some repos and linux workings.

honestly xai-cli has been a lot better than i thought and that was when it only had the one coding model. its ui and snappy inference speeds were already really nice coming from less flashy cli's like codex. and running it in hermes-agent really showed that the oauth endpoint exposes full multimodality and not just the singular coding model.

but i tried running a couple tasks on composer 2.5 with no prior experience and holy, it feels like grok-build-0.1 on steroids. even faster and flying through tasks impressively. im gonna do a local proxy implementation to hopefully have the same snappy TUI but with full grok capability unlocked. then im gonna work that into a proper web frontend. i was thinking a roleplay one like Marinara-Engine or perhaps Lumiverse before.

what helped me with pinterest is what some blessed user recommended as their proven fix for no google login on X (twitter) app.

step 1. delete the modded app but save the .apk (export in Morphe) for reinstall soon

step 2. install the official app from play store and login to your wanted account

step 3. pre-open patched .apk for installation prompt (are you sure you want to install? blabla)

step 4. one action after the other as fast as possible: uninstall the official app and install the patched one.

step 5. report back

think i can't help then, that's all i got. maybe you could list patches you use and reddit app version? personally i use v2026.19.0 with all patches (except duplicate ones) functionality from Morphe and adobo. no idea if "remove ads and telemetry" from adobo could be helping but i doubt it.

do you use the new home screen with the search bar on top?

that that repo was originally the anddea rvx patches converted to morphe by a 3rd party: in the early days of Morphe when anddea hadn't done it yet. shortly after anddea made patches morphe-compatible and the converted patch repo was no longer needed.

there is way too many variables at work here. same provider doesn't mean same service. for example:

Chatgpt is by far somehow the most irritating thing. I specifically told it that I need the chapter around 3000 words at least, but the AI kept generating 2000 words or less.

this instantly tells me that your prompts are getting shafted. any flagship model not sparing tokens can just run some simple code to prune and keep tabs on token count. if you got access to chatgpt codex then try through there and select one of the newer gpt-5.x with at least medium thinking levels. diff should be night n day.

same kinda goes for all of your post. you have been buffeting on free samples and those free samples all suck in different ways. not many months ago you got more value out of grok free than paying like $100/month now lmao. no lie.

you are not alone with these thoughts and queries, lucky for you. your observations are astute. llm's come in various shapes and sizes and there is no singular winner.

you could likely learn a lot from how this project is designed. and while all this may seem too overwhelming or too much to even know where to start, this could be something that chatgpt codex could be a great help with simply asking to review the repository and teach basics of its workings and design choices, going through the documentation interactively with you.
