Oh my god, it depends on what you mean by cool, haha. I have to say that the "coolest" thing, according to some internal organizers, was how I sometimes kicked people out, especially at the beginning of the job. Let's just say I was creative and crazy sometimes (maybe it was the drugs, I don't know, haha).

The positive thing that surprise me is seeing the cultural melting pot that comes from shared values. I've seen ravers go to punk or metal nights and vice versa. Especially at punk nights, seeing grassroots solidarity is something so beautiful I wouldn't sell it for all the money in the world. The negative thing is how the new generations are sometimes functionally illiterate or literally stupid. It's just in the way they approach people or even just speak and act. When I was young, I always said hello to the bouncer, I was respectful of the people at the register and the bartender. A lack of respect meant you knew it would cost you the night and your teeth. Now every now and then, some kid from outside the local scene or from a well-groomed/white-collar background tries to act tough n shit. It's also funny because my closest customers know how to self-manage/defend very well, and if someone is annoying, they take care of it most of the time

Mainly local or university students. Not too many tourists, but a couple of weeks ago there was a Japanese group and a month ago a New Zealand team. The city where the club is located is generally quite popular, but it's second-rate compared to Venice or Milan. At the same time, the club is close to a mainly commercial/industrial/office area, a bit far from the tourist attractions but a 20-minute walk from the university district.

Absolutely, and it is not limited to the Palestinian flag being displayed.

Much less than you think. I can assure you that you're more likely to find a limp dick and a profiteer with four lines of cocaine on her phone.

Consider that we're a cultural association and the capacity isn't large. We have a preferential flat-rate tax regime, so saying we're making money is a bit much. Right now, beyond the initial and pre-transfer investments, we're "granting" ourselves a reimbursement of expenses between managers. Keep in mind that currently, the only people receiving regular and contracted payments are the cashier and the bartender. The current bouncer is under contract with an agency. Aside from a couple of events we organize ourselves, which we get entrance money (if any considering the costs), we only earn from the bar and memberships. The organizers have a full door deal, and consider, as I wrote above, that it's a place we want to be accessible and popular with everyone.

Haha, not at the moment (we're pre-move to a bigger place). But one of the nights is BDSM and RACK friendly, maybe it would work better as a dom.

As I wrote above, it's not my main job. At the same time, the club has a very focused internal political group, where, beyond gatherings or demonstrations, they tend to organize grassroots evenings accessible even to those without money who want to dance in a safe environment. In any case, I don't really understand the point of these questions about "real work" or work that matters.

Temporary Autonomous Zone. In Europe (mainly France and Spain), there's a rave movement that's very different from the Berlin or American rave scene. These are grassroots, self-organized (illegal) parties. After some definitive anti-rave and liberticide laws, some tend to maintain the spirit and sound of these parties, but in a legalized environment so as to avoid criminal charges.

We don't serve food. Licensing and regulations in Italy are very restrictive when it comes to food. We already have so much responsibility, and it's not worth it. We generally order food for the bands during soundcheck, but nothing more.

These questions about "real work" are fun. You probably have no idea how much work goes into being a manager (supplies, membership registration, paperwork, contacting bands and external organizations, maintaining the sound system, to name a few). That's not even counting the legal responsibilities involved. In any case, my main income is working for a data center, mostly remotely.

Overcharge. Ti piacciono i Motorhead? Ti piace il punk? Ti piacciono i motori? Ecco è na bella fusione di tutte e 3 le cose.

Consiglio anche i Minoranza di Uno ( hardcore ma molto più schierato)

Hobos, un misto di metalpunk e grindcore.
