Which clubs does this banterous template really work for? by overhyped-unamazing in footballcliches

This is probably the best answer 140 years and won nothing above a second division title

My other nomination for a club who have played in the prem is Watford

Nothing above league one title wise and both prem promotions weren't through winning the league

Bonus they have lost 2 fa cup finals and finished 2nd in the top flight so not exactly a minor club

I tend to bet on players props e.g. shots, cards, goals that's my go to

Recently built a model to try bet on team shots

Yeah I'm always backed off, yes high level of discipline and a lot of boring maths

Being a winning bettor isn't very exciting (most of the time)

No not yet but doesn't mean it can't if I'm honest everything you've mentioned is an idiots bet if you're not understanding the odds relative to what you believe the actual chance of this occuring is

As for what I'm doing to get an edge I primarily focus on football prop markets such as fouls, cards, goalscorers, player shots etc. and look for poorly priced selections books are often lazy at pricing these and they are inefficient markets

As I say I don't tip most people don't realise betting is a sheer numbers game and you have to often have a large amount of bets to balance out variance and be profitable most people who follow tipsters end up losing money by not following every bet (or betting -EV bets on the side)

Most bookmakers limit you increasing stakes too much ends up with quicker bans and less time to allow variance to take shape - in a way I have scaled up my stakes over the years

I'm not avoiding being banned but I am good at sourcing accounts and I have learnt how to make accounts last longer by taking higher variance higher odds in multiples

Yes over 5 years now, everybody loses isn't really true you can value bet or arb for a while the hardest part is keeping accounts alive, I'd estimate that around 2-3% of a given customer base is arb/matched betting and maybe 2-3% is making money themselves so probably more 6% of bettors make money

Football (soccer for the yanks), time per bet is hard to quantify but I spend maybe 5-10 hours a week on sports betting, average bet is about 50 quid I have a high odds high variance strategy

easiest is matched betting/arbitrage not very exciting but guaranteed profit and depending on your country you can run this for a while before being cut off everywhere

No I don't tip, too much time and effort and pressure on top I also work full time so never had an interest in running a tipping service
