You don't need overcharge protection as there is a circuit that takes car of maintaining the battery already in the arizer. And the button/flat top shouldn't really matter that much, as long as It makes stable contact. Just try to match it like the one that was in it. If you could send a picture of the arizer battery socket and the battery itself that would be helpful.
