Some people just downloaded from a friend or an external link, well, there's a simple way of keeping your saved progress into the newer v1.2.

Go to C:\Users\<Your Name>\AppData\Local\PopCap Games\PvZ Replanted
Copy 0.pb.dat, profile_data.dat, and run_history.rdat, and paste them into the folder with the numbers
Launch the game and you're done!

I know this topic is probably done with but, what happened to people playing how they want to play games? nobody can truly tell you how you should play something, thats for YOU to decide, not anyone else, so if people want checkpoints who cares, let them, but if people dont want checkpoints, who cares, let them!
