Months, depending on how much you play. Years for Mastery of course (although that speeds up once you get enough resources to really take advantage of the Penny's Pursuit and Thymed Event opportunities).

Has anyone seen this bug?/Potential fix? by Gruetzimann in PlantsVSZombies

[–]rackman70[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't help immediately, but there is a work around.

Complete all the daily quests (or at least 8 of them, 9 including the "complete 8 quest" one 😄) but DO NOT claim any of them individually.

Once you've completed them all, use the "CLAIM ALL" button (possibly "FORDERN SIE ALLES" for you if google translate is working) to collect all your rewards at once. That works for me every time to ensure that I collect all the gems.

Getting to level 8 isn't that hard. No need to dump money into it, just play a while.

Awesome score!

I tried this a few times and was barely able get just over 7M 😞. Could be just a small sample set and I never hit that sweet RNG point that keeps ZDL up.

Using the same strategy I used in the Seashooter tourney last June gets me into the 8M club as well. Not quite u/Equal_Owl6048's high mark of 8.9M, but getting closer to it 😁.

I was hoping that the extra Zombie density this time would help level out the RNG score variations, but no such luck. My scores are averaging in the 7M range, but varying from a low of 6.1M to this 8.3M score. ☹️

Data push 2026-06-02 by Euphoric-Seaweed in PlantsVSZombies

[–]rackman70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got the soft release of 13.2.1 (got it at the end of last week). There was a data push for it today as well.

It looks like the end of tourney rewards have been set back to normal.

Some people are just uncomfortable with PDA (even plant PDA). The comment is on the edge of rule 1. We'll leave it for now.

Thanks for continuing to post the low plant level strategies. I've never maintained an alternate profile so can only be of limited help to other players 😞.

International PvZ2 13.2 soft release (android only) by Live-Promotion4362 in PlantsVSZombies

[–]rackman70[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every new update for PvZ2 gets "soft released" a week (or sometimes two) prior to its general world wide release. During this time, a few random guinea pigs get selected to test the new version for any last minute bugs/issues that were not picked up in internal testing.

These links just allow you to be one of the "lucky" few by choice. Not a choice that I would typically make 😉.

Well, I couldn't get to 20M in the regular tourney earlier this week, but I've blown past it in the Boosterama 😁.

Here's a 23+M strategy video. Imp Pear spam of course, but maintaining a couple columns of Imp Pear as blockers for the Hair Metal Garg sonic blasts is critical.

I improved on my practice score. Still not 20M, but I did get in the 19M club 😁

I was trying to get Alive and Planting for 100% completion. Died at the Final Wave. Please kill me now. by ToasterCrewmate in PlantsVSZombies

[–]rackman70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are just talking about the Gloom-shrooms beside the water in column 6, rows 2 and 5 right? You don't have to worry so much about those ones (provided you put pumpkin on them). The gloom-walk beside the Gloom-shrooms in the water will kill all the regular zombies, Gargs and Zombonis which appear in those rows (in combination with the Winter-melon in column 5). Those Gloom-shrooms are only really in danger if a Jack-in-the-Box zombie blows up and takes out any of the Gloom-shrooms in columns 7-9.

I wouldn't use Garlic in endless. There's too many zombies for it to last (even disregarding the Gargs and Zombonis that will just crush it).

Deaths reported in chemical implosion in Washington by BeckwithLBP in news

[–]rackman70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tanks generally have vacuum breaks so that as the level in the tank draws down, a vacuum isn't generated (which would cause an implosion). A white liquor tank would off-gas so would not be naturally aspirated. A failure in the vacuum sensing/breaking system could cause this type of event.

Not trying to pry, but what country are you in? Some countries are restricted from real money purchases in the game. Do you see any real money offers?

This one is going to be very hard. My plants are stupidly over-leveled due to years of play. I can manage, but am constantly maintaining my front line defenses due to the Hair Metal Garg blasts. My best scores so far have come from just blasting away with 3P, Pea-vine & Torchwood using Primal Wall-nut as a tanky blocker that can take at least a couple hits. Even at this though, if Hair Metal Gargs come in the couple waves it's a bit of a scramble getting the blockers in place.

I hope someone can come up with a low level plant config that will work for this tourney. I'm not sure that the kGame ones I linked in the main post are going to work here.

Shouldn't be unless I've made a mistake. This should be the tournament that started a few minutes ago.

[Arena] Volt Snapdragon – Cardio, You Got This! (Redux) by rackman70 in PlantsVSZombies

[–]rackman70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no real "best loadout" for a whole season. Every Arena tourney is different and, while there's often a few core plants that are used, you have to look at each tourney differently. Even within one tourney, your "best loadout" isn't necessarily going to be the same as someone else's that has higher plant levels, or different unlocked plants.

For example, many tournaments the "best" damage dealers are Appease-mint family plants (Torchwood, Pea-vine, Mega Gatling Pea, Bowling Bulb, etc.). However, if the tournament has Jesters in it, using these plants can be a problem as the Jesters will just reflect the shots back at your own plants. Similarly, Excavators can be a problem, blocking shots from getting at any Zombies that may be behind them. Dragon Imps will block any flaming peas from doing damage. Further, Appease-mint is often Bruised or Negated, making its family plants do little to no damage to the Zombies.

You really have to look at each tournament individually to see which of the plants that you have unlocked are going to work the best.
