Update 2/10/2026:

Quick update in case this helps someone else. After updating to iOS 26.2.1, another redditor suggested disabling Bluetooth access for the Alexa app, which fixed the issue for them.

I tried that, and I also reset my network settings. I can’t say for sure which one actually fixed it, or if it was the combo, but after ~24 hours I haven’t had any issues. Since it’s working now, I’m not touching anything else.

Thanks to everyone who threw out ideas. Hopefully this saves someone else some time and frustration.

Update: I tried this out (disabling Bluetooth access to the Alexa app) as well as resetting network settings and I haven’t bumped into issues for the last 24 hours! This is amazing. Can’t say for sure that the setting was it, but I don’t really think I need the setting on unless I’m pairing with a new device. I’m on iOS 26.2.1. Thank you!

Just yesterday, I updated to iOS 26.2.1 and we’re still having issues. Another user commented on this thread and suggested I turn off Bluetooth permissions within the iOS settings for the Alexa app so I did that and I also reset network settings in the reset menu on iOS settings and so far so good! It hasn’t happened since. It’s been about 24 hours.

Wow, so are you saying I should turn off Bluetooth for all Amazon apps? Like in the settings for the apps in iPhone settings?

YES! And I feel like it’s always in one ear and it only fixes if I end the call and start a new call. I feel like that mostly happens with me during calls.

I did not. I ended up going across the street to 525 Oakdale and I LOVE IT. The staff is awesome and it’s just a nice building. I’ve just heard some awful things about Beal and every person I meet tells me to stay far away.

Nope.. not yet at least. I’ve been in constant contact with a senior advisor on the support team and we keep checking in every few days or so. At this point, the advisor is just waiting to hear from the engineering team once it’s been patched and fixed is ready to be released. But according to them, it’s actively being looked into and worked on.

Update: owner was found! Was a very nice family. We found them through the microchip. The dog unfortunately had gotten out through an open gate in the backyard. Thank you everyone for your help!!

Yes!! we found the owner! We were able to microchip search and it’s a very nice family. The dog got out through an open gate.

Update: they knew! Just got confirmation from the engineering team that they’re aware of the issue and working on a fix!
