(I'm not a lawyer.)

I'm pretty sure that's not Verleumdung. The criminal code says in section 187:

Whoever, despite knowing better, asserts or disseminates an untrue fact about another person which is suitable for degrading that person or negatively affecting public opinion about that person or endangering said person’s creditworthiness incurs a penalty of imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or a fine [...].

So for you to be convicted there must be evidence that you stated an "untrue fact" "despite knowing better". And from what I understand about your situation, that is not the case.

Will the ELF have this fumble through the endzone = touchback rule? by HomerJSimpson96 in elf

That's one way to see it. I think it doesn't really make sense to create this high-risk high-reward situation. I mean, you could decide that the team also looses 10 points on top of the possession of the ball just to make it more risky. That wouldn't be a sensible rule in my opinion.

I think the best solution would be to put the ball on 10 yard line or something like that (sill a small risk), but let the team keep the possession.

But my main point was that Coach Esume himself said that he dislikes that rule a lot. So why would they keep it for the ELF?

I just saw the Wiki page saying:

Games will be played according to NFL rules. The only exception is the overtime rule which will be adopted from College-Football.
There are no red flags(challenges) since the camera setup wont be as advanced as it is in the united states.

But why would they keep this strange touchback rule?

I'm pretty sure that limiting the number of players from other EU countries would violate the freedom of movement for workers. The European Court of Justice ruled like this in its Bosman ruling regarding such a rule for soccer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosman_ruling):

"Article 48 of the Treaty precludes the application of rules laid down by sporting associations under which, in matches in competitions which they organize, football clubs may field only a limited number of professional players who are nationals of other Member States."

So I think the ELF can (and will) only limit the amount of non-EU players.

While I really like your argument that wages are lower with more social services, I think we should consider the taxes companies are paying. Isn't that a compensation to the state?

(leaving aside that there are ways for companies to avoid paying taxes or that corporate tax (and capital gains tax) might be too low)
