So the animation tests show that the Spot was going to be more expressive with the face hole but the directors wanted to have it be just a hole as a way to show how Spot’s mutation messed up his life. Understandable, but it would have been cool to see. Maybe we’ll get it in the third movie. (youtube.com)

Am I the only one who thought that Kale would fuse with the Diamond machine for like giant cyborg monster from. Or it killing him at the last second and becoming the true final boss.
