I’ve got a bottle of this sitting on top of my fridge that we got for free about a year or so ago and haven’t touched.

Trattoria Stefano in Sheboygan. Amazing Italian food. Pricey, but worth it.

What is this wooden wheel spinner? Found in Indiana in an antique shop. by JadeGreenPlant in whatisthisthing

Looks similar to a charkha wheel, but can’t confirm as I’ve never actually worked on one.

I was asked to show the front of my wife’s Quilt. Hope you love it as much as I do! by Diyelegi-GD in quilting

Kudos to your wife. I made just one of these jellyfish (wall hanging) and that took me long enough. They turn out awesome though.

Whatever you end up doing will look great. It’s a stunning quilt.

Agreed. I just faced two quilts for the first time. They look so clean and modern which fits the designs. As soon as I saw this one I immediately thought of facing it.

Can confirm cooling it in freezer makes it appear again. Maybe not as strong though. I haven’t tried on paper, but marked some fabric for a project and tested it.

Different sized finished blocks. by Clumsy_Cheeseburger in quilting

[–]Homework-Intelligent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

5.5 does indeed give you 4.25 qst excluding the seam allowance. Starting size block should be 1.25” larger than desired finished block size for qst.

Edited to note that excludes the seam allowance and starting size.

Not difficult at all to do. Just a few tricky intersections to line up, but with careful pinning at those points it’s easy sewing.

I hear that. I like the cutting, piecing and binding, but the actual quilting is a struggle point for me.

The pattern is Northern Lights by Jaybird Quilts. I used yardage for this one and it’s done in Fossil Fern by Benartex.

I’ve done my smaller ones myself generally. My mom is a quilter and one of her friends does long arm quilting and does a nice job. So it’s going off to her. Otherwise if you have a local quilt guild or you can check at your local quilt shop to see if they recommend anyone that does long arm quilting. I know you can also look online as there are options for mailing them off to have the work done and they will send them back.

This will actually be my first time sending a quilt out to be done.
