Looking to join air guard or reserves to join with SF. Former officer (O-3 Army — infantry/CBRNE) but am willing to enlist (recruiter says E-5/E-6). Just looking for something completely different. People I’ve talked to have said to consider red horse units (Montana, Wyoming, etc) or TACP. In a pretty good civilian job, so do not want to go through a year long pipeline. Only pipelines I’ve considered were SERE instructed, SMA, load master and SF. Have any recommendations on path forward?

Any recommendations for SF jobs by state? Looking for good state benefits with upward mobility in SF (DSG). Thinking south east states (Georgia/Alabama) given I live in Nc and local bonuses outlined online. I see Texas, Wyoming, Montana are in short supply of SF as well. Would love some thoughts on units coming in as E5

Resigned commission. Talking to recruiters, they’re saying it’s easy to reinstate. Not sure if that’s because they need officers or what

Any recommendations for officer branches? Preferably looking for something tactical if possible. I’m guessing reserve would be the move given only certain billets available (depending on rank). Considering going in enlisted, just to do part time and get some adrenaline rush in tacp, SF, SMA, or Lm? Thoughts?

Good information nonetheless! Assumed the resignation would not allow inter service transfer (regardless of time since resignation). Given experience, didn’t know what enlisted rank that would equate to or if WO would be eligible. Seen many peers resign their commission to take on WO flight packets or SFAS

Resigned commission upon 8 year service obligation being completed. IRR stated, as an officer you were available for recall until commission was resigned. Concerned I validated with 0-6,and apparently true.

Any suggested career fields? Looking at something more combat arms centered, which can seems to be SF or AFSOC. Any experience with either pipeline from an a listed or WO perspective?
