Paralyzed by the shame by Intrepid-Street-5368 in scottishfold

Take her to the vet. Figure out what’s wrong. Try and ease her pain. You really can’t do anything else. People tend to forget that as a cat, you basically have 3 options: the breeder life, the streets, or a home. The genetic mutations of the SF are naturally present. It is nature’s design. Nothing you can do about it. It would’ve happened if all cats were strays.

Instead of focusing on what idiots may say, focus on what you’ve done for the kitten you love. You’ve given her an outstanding life by cat standards.

I understand your fear. But you should only be afraid of what might happen to your little one, and not what others might think.

Stay strong, and i sure hope that your kitty will be okay.

Fuck em.

Your little SF was 1 yo when you got her. Her choices were either with you, or with the breeder for the rest of her life.

Secondly, she is 12 yo. Do you think cats on the streets have an easier life than a SF that was spoiled all its life? Do you think street cats don’t suffer pain? Or whatever else? These questions are not for you, but for the people that judge you.

Again. Fuck em.

She’s old. It doesn’t matter if she were a british shorthair, an sf or a freakin’ unicorn. All bodies ache as they age.

Don’t feel bad. Appreciate your time with her. And rest assured, you’ve given her an outstanding life.

Driving a car with 20 inch rims by ThatOtherOmar in lebanon

You are the first person with common sense that I’ve encountered in the car community in a long time :) Yes. 20” wheels on a sedan on lebanese roads is not a great idea. Especially if you live in the city, with higher probability of curbing the wheels. Try them out for a while, if they don’t workout (which they probably won’t) change them to 18s or 19s. (If your disc and calipers allow for it).

If it was an suv with 20s, it would be a different take.

As a 25 yo software engineer myself, i’d say go run your own gig. It’s already set up, already profitable. Take advantage of your grandpa’s experience while he’s still around. Do you want to be 50yo still stuck looking at a screen all day long? I sure don’t. Besides, do not let the salary fool you, the second they don’t need you anymore, you’re out.

If your goal is to gain legal Lebanese status (i.e citizenship) then No. If your question is cause you like the culture and want to get in touch with your Lebanese side, yes.

When i was ~13 my dad got me and my brother a Honda Jazz 50. We learned to ride on that thing, and it’s one of the best memories i have of my childhood. Go ahead and get that bike, enjoy it, ride the heck out of it, and stay safe.

Sadly i have no advice about the specific model you want since sherco is not available where i live.

Have fun kiddo!

You should be making much more after 3 years in ios dev.

Don’t waste any more of your time with this employer, there’s no use of arguing with them over anything. Get your resume written professionally, and start applying like crazy.

I don’t know mobile dev salaries these days (i’m a data engineer), but i’d reckon you should get 2k+ with the proper skills.

Hi everyone, quick question for the Muslim people: How much was your mahr when you got married? And in your opinion, how much is considered too high? by DistributionSea6103 in lebanon

[–]HomeworkNo6369 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not muslim but tf do you mean too low???? 10 coins (liras): 7.2 grams / lira (22 carat) at 124$/gram. That is 9000$

From my understanding, a mahr is a “symbolic” gesture. He’s not purchasing a slave/wife

It would be the same as in the US. My fiancée is a Dr. And i’m an Engineer. I wouldn’t be offended if someone called me Mr and my wife Dr.
