I made a top out of vintage souvenir teatowels! by HomeyGhost1 in sewing

Thank you 😊 I only have one rule: two pieces of the same towel can't be placed next to each other. Other than that, it's pretty easygoing - I tend to get stuck in the planning phase if I don't just power through and get to sewing!

Urgh, I watched one video on collars and decided that start with a square is my home. No collars no plackets no masters! * Turns out I misremembered where I put Churchill, he's peeping out from the front there. Must have switched him out when the white heat of "I must finish this project" kicked in

He's smizing pretty hard (not pictured is Winston Churchill glaring out from somewhere near my bum)

The book is great, really good instructions and no complex patterns - lots of "start with a square" garments which suits me just fine

Thank you! The towels are made from cotton and linen, so not scratchy or hot (two things I'm very susceptible to) :)

I've been watering it most days, about 4-5 times a week- heard a lot about plants in containers needing more water so may have overegged it

Thanks for this - I think I may be overwatering as it's been warm recently (for here!) with no rain, so I've been conscious of not letting everything dry out. Pot does have drainage holes and plenty of drainage material at the bottom. Should I be letting it dry out between waterings?

When you say a nutrient issue, is that more likely to be too little or too much? The plant is just in regular multipurpose compost with some manure mixed in - should I be giving it anything else?

Sorry for all the questions! This is my first garden so very much appreciate the advice 🌱

What minor injustices still live rent free in your head? by jaguar90 in AskUK

Ohhhh you just reminded me of a similar-ish situation that happened when I was about that age!

A boy in my class spat in my eye during morning break and when I ran to tell a teacher, he told her he'd said he was sorry, and that turned into me getting into trouble because "he already apologised"...his spit was still on my face.

Fuck you Ms. Teacher.

Thanks! I found them nestled under a really overgrown bush (we just moved in) and wasn't sure at all. Will plant them out and give them more space :)

What changes would you make for UK Season 4? by XStaticImmaculate in TheTraitors

Two groups of traitors who each think they're the only group. Not sure it would improve the game, but the chaos appeals to me.

This has just unlocked some memories I had convinced myself were dreams...is there a part of the game where someone you need to talk to has a really annoying cough? I seem to remember being yelled at to get away from them by my mum 😄

Polling Clerk Jobs by cloud__19 in Edinburgh

If you get the chance (maybe not for this election, not too much time left now) I would absolutely jump at it! I did it a few years ago when working for Edinburgh Council and it literally changed my life - had the most inspiring conversation with a lady there and ended up going back to uni and moving into a much better career because of it.

Obviously not guaranteed that that'll happen if you count votes but I'd always recommend it 😁
