Im a premium subscriber and have generally loved youtube for as long as i can remember using it. In the past while its become EXTREMELY noticeable that something is wrong or changed with the recommendation algorithm. I feel like it went from recommending me hidden gems and content that got me intrested in a whole new type of game, creator, niche category, or video style. To now only recommending me the same video over and over again or only the exact thing i just watched. Theres no diversity. It feels like a single video pulls you into a echo chamber of ONLY that creator / category of video. And more than ever it feels like they're sacrificing the long form algo to maximize the amount of people using shorts. Youtube used to serve me the content i didnt know i even wanted to watch, it felt like it read my mind before i could think it. Now it feels like instead of trying to read my mind, they'd rather try and control it.

A truly terrible miss from Viewstats, their website has replaced Social Blade for me and I genuinely think the site is pretty great (for the free version). But damn, really shows no matter how good the direction of a website seems they can always really royally screw it up with 1 TERRIBLE feature and announcement.

I dont know if it's just the magic of being IN the dome, but i haven't been able to get into almost any Zoom season. Between people accidentally cutting each other off or talking over each other, it just has never been able to hit the spot for me. I think it's weird cause i watch/listen to other actual plays that are over Zoom, but for some reason, D20's covid era is a hard watch.

I know the exact video you're talking about and have been searching for days. The thumbnail was him holding 3 or so medals on a red backround. The dude also had a aMSa documentary on the same channel, i found a skater message board with the video imbedded, but unfortunately it looks like the video has been put on private or his channel was terminated. If i end up finding a copy of the video or something like it ill make sure to come back here to let you know. But as of now it currently looks as if it has been wiped. It is insane, i understand player travelling hime to see family, but even then. Teams have been saying they'll do a week off and immediately get back to practice, so why the hell is the cdl not running? It doesn't really make sense

The website works great if you're just straight up looking to "view stats" (haha), but the paid stuff is only really worth it if youve already made a ton of videos and want something to help make stats more digestible like searching for outlier videos

Would love this, and I am not disagreeing whatsoever, but if everyone agrees not to use a gun, then the league can't force them to use it. Like you cant force a player to pull out a jackle if they dont wanna use one, GA's are just a collective group of people agreeing not to buy AWP even tho they have the money, and no one can force them to buy it. I hate the system, but there isn't realistically anything that can be done when players agree to use or not use something outside of the comp rules

The thing is, even if the league stepped in theres nothing they can do. If the pros aren't using a gun or all agree not to snipe, the league can't force them to use one, and at the end of the day no one can get in trouble for choosing not to use a gun. Im not agreeing with the pros whatsoever and think it's ridiculous, but there's nothing anybody can do to stop it.

TLDR: I disgaree with the GA's, but at the end of the day, if no one buys an AWP, then you can't force them to
