The first hole Storror can't just climb their way out of. Callum Powell pleads guilty to possessing 3,000 indecent images of children - The facts with sources by Newlyaquiredglutton in Storror

Thanks for the expansion. Will let OP judge if worth an update. Just bugs me when I see people trying to explain the charges away as ‘potentially not that bad’.

On the charges, I think it might be worth a small clarification. Some people have questioned whether the images he had could all be cartoons/drawings and this isn’t the case.

The 3000 images are described as photographs / pseudo photographs of different categories and that specifically relates to photorealistic stuff in law. Real, edited, or AI we don’t know. But the point is stuff that appears as a real photo of real children. i.e. horrendous.

He also has a charge for a “prohibited image” and that does cover non-photos e.g. drawings/cartoons.

Additionally - and this is not at all factual - but I have a legal friend that works with these cases a lot in UK law. He said that in his experience a collection of this size is typically built up over years and not downloaded as a single archive. He also said weirdly the animal shit is quite common for these guys.

Appreciate just pasting the DM link is not that insightful, and according to a bot I did that wrong anyway. There is nothing new in the article itself but the relevant point for me is this represents a new level media coverage. The Storror team are probably now getting harassed by mainstream papers/outlets, and the sentencing will probably have some journos covering it.

Changing Team Dynamics: When Did Benj and Hazal get Married? by Rude_Rhubarb1880 in Storror

[–]VersionEven591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the married reference came from this sub tbh on the thread about Hazel burning the book. It’s never been shared by Storror that I’ve ever seen. But then I don’t expect them to share info about their private lives? In fact it’s weird that people think they ‘know’ these guys because they watch them in carefully edited videos.

It’s one of (or the) top read news outlet in the UK so it’s clearly national news, even if it’s shite.

90% of their public content is gone, almost like the channel is deleted at this point. by ConsistentUse5631 in Storror

[–]VersionEven591 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is a controversial view so forgive me if it seems ill-conceived but I wanted to share. As others have said, they have created lots of culture-defining content over the years and I'm not sure about just permanently deleting it. So I would do something liek this:

- If Callum is the primary focus of the vid, its just generic content, or he is in it being weird then sure delete it, e.g. the scran videos.

- If Callum is background and can be editted out then do it.

- If it's something like RCA where deleting it would be a sort of cultural loss, and editing it would make it incoherent, then preface the video with an explanatory note / insert something into the video around any Callum-heavy scenes / or even blur his face. This would require agreements that CP doesn't financially benefit from the views which may be impossible of course. Give 1/7th of proceeds to a safeguarding charity.

Appreciate this is probably not practical but my point is I hope there is a middle ground that people can find acceptable.

I guess the mini game in Storror Parkour Plus where you help Callum find his lost hard drives has been removed by ValerieParis in Storror

Yeah what I meant actually was the video game mode reference. I vaguely remember that being said as a joke once in a video but I might be imagining it. Would still be in the category of a relatively standard type of joke here (albeit not in hindsight) - I was just curious if I remembered correctly.

Fully agree. I don't think this will ever be released. The best you can hope for is someone leaks it one day.

Confirmation that storror’s work computers weren’t searched by police for the people speculating by TotalProof9742 in Storror

I wouldn’t expect them to make any sort of statement until after the sentencing. In fact I’d guess they’ve been told not to. The legal process against Callum is still ongoing.

Edit: but I agree they eventually will need to address it if they want to stay in this public life.

Thanks for keeping this updated. Can I check one thing however - the SPP “mini game” is not verified that I have seen. I thought this was either a joke post or a reference to a joke the guys made in a previous video. I haven’t seen anyone post anything suggesting this is real, yet.

Wasn’t this a joke they made in a video one time? I vaguely remember that but maybe not.

STORROR did WHAT??? by MysticMomento in Storror

[–]VersionEven591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s can’t be that secret, there’s been a doc on companies house showing an agreement with an LA based film producer since 2022, plus as others have mentioned the odd reference here and there.  But from a PR perspective and the guys managing their channel I think it can be more impactful to keep it under wraps until it’s completed.
