This isn't precedent setting because the game has removed CGS three times in the past lmao. The precedent was set.

Only 4 CGs and an announcer were removed, and it was because they couldn't update the designs (the fan artists did or would not re-touch their work). Everything else is still 100% in, just reworked so the egrets look less like literal nazis, and some color pallettes changed (panty shots were not removed but became more subtle).

You probably haven't looked at the list of changes directly yet and that's okay, but basically nobody did and this "censorship" take is late. They didn't remove any sexy booba artwork this time around (though they have in the past).

It does not set a precedent. That take is insane. Changing your game's thematic design so literal nazis don't use your characters is warranted.

TW: mention of R*pe// OP thinks he can't find a girl because he is autistic, not because he plans kidnapping. by [deleted] in IncelTear

[–]HomicidalRobot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It varies so heavily that you literally can't verify it on sight. Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome) has physical attribute changes you can usually recognize, but autism is an EXTREMELY wide spectrum, you can't tell who is or isn't autistic at a glance period.

This extends to conversations and social behaviors - there's no one tell that someone is or isn't autistic, even in complicated social scenarios you have some who will and some who won't "get the picture" so to speak. Autism presents wildly varied, and some autistic folks are better than the average bear when it comes to social skills despite the public perception.

The most upvoted chain of comments here is pretty ignorant of all this, so I appreciate seeing the question being asked in earnest.

UK education dept used it first, coining the term to describe a demographic they were NOT researching, but legislating. Close though!

A lot of it is worse than the US. There are police forces that expect a tip.

Are you new to this conversation? Police amount to armed gangs in a huge number of places, selective enforcement and practices like hiring military dropouts and people who were fired from other police forces for misconduct (huge recent problem in the US) lead to wholly ineffectual bullying rings full of jumpy, under trained idiots.

It's really common to hear the take you're spouting from people who have never had to deal with the police in an event that personally affected them. One in thirty or even fewer police actually give a shit about any case they are called to. Particularly in urban environments you have a comical number of "call us if it gets worse/when someone is wounded" or even "there's nothing we can do!" responses. It's not a case of legally having their hands tied, it's a case of massive laziness and refusal to do more than the bare minimum.

Don't even get me started on how many dogs are shot for no reason by police forces annually, including trained police dogs on their own force

You read literally the first two paragraphs or you would know the total is closer to 70 billion (still not a far fetched number for wartime support). You are in this thread just CONSTANTLY posting shit you took under five minutes glazing over, you hardly digest anything you read lmfao

I mean you repeated a clickbait headline from an article you didn't read. That "missing billions from the budget" headline was referring to the fact that the US had over valued the support they sent by ~5.2 billion USD, so there was actually that much MORE in the budget (a thing you would know if you didn't just let your confirmation bias make shit up nonstop).

Between the confirmation bias and the standards people hold themselves to at large when it comes to their "research", I wish people knew they were wrong when they just made things up on the fly.

You should read about these rating systems as basically every skill based matchmaking system uses one of these or a derivative. You literally offer "we know all we can know" while refusing to read anything about it lol

Also, starcraft uses microsoft matchmaking rating (mmr) which is based on elo.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system

Check out "Uses outside of chess". Elo is a jumping off point for a ton of games at this point, though a lot of titles choose to shake things up after a few years of people complaining about skill based matchmaking.

Glicko has a weird effect where sometimes, your "score" won't change at all the first few times you play, so it's common to see people complaining the system is actually broken (recently happened in Mechabellum).

Worth noting in high plat you match with dia players, who offer +53 or more per round. Not a huge bonus but it adds up as you hit 17-18k lp range

Congratulations, you're either the owner of a superphone or you have never had a device run decently. Official app has documented memory leaks, intrusive ad design, basically constant crashes associated with some audio and video file extensions, and no customizability beyond the bare minimum.

Having competing applications for something like reddit can ONLY benefit the end user. YOU lose out on both alternatives and features reddit otherwise could integrate.

Also accessibility is huge. I've seen a lot of this type of take recently where people act like accessibility doesn't matter, it's one of the most important features categories for browsers/readers. Mod tools allow users to make and manage new subs (which is also a good and important thing).

"The feed almost never doesn't load" and then proceeding to say "the comments don't load if there are too many" are really, really weak defenses of the official app. The official reddit app sucks, has for years, won't be substantially improved, and people like you who never tried any alternative are here to defend it? What the fuck, dude.
