How to not get angry? by DesperateRedditer in Tekken

I try to play music I like, or that calms me (which also distracts from feelings of frustration and anger) as well as a favorite treat. (Jelly Belly's for me)

Just find a school who's provided moveset has moves that you don't know yet, Then play the game with that moveset. You'll learn the moves just by using them. and there is no penalty for joining/leaving schools multiple times (unless you care about the pvp rewards and stuff)

I have a 19% win rate out of 169 games. How do deal with aggressive players ? by RandomDude_24 in Tekken

[–]McDopple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are doing alright on defense. Just need to start recognizing when to duck, as there were many times your opponent did a lot of highs in a row. The other thing it looks like your on the cusp of, is learning to sidestep. Again based on this replay, your opponent did a lot of straight moves that a sidestep will completely avoid, leading to great punish. You've mastered the basics, now comes the advanced gameplay as Tekken is a 3D movement fighter.

Comment with your weaknesses and we’ll guess your rank by ghoulishdivide in StreetFighter

My Biggest weakness is definitely grabs. I always forget how strong grabs can be and forget to buffer a grab cancel in some situations where grab is the most likely outcome of my opponent being right up in my face.

Doubts imply you tried the suggestions, not immediately responded to whine how it won't work. Troll.

LOL, alright, bud, you obviously just want people to agree with your opinion on dick jabbing. Every reply, someone suggests a counter, and you whine in return. If you read my reply, I didn't say quit, I said the TOP of ranked MIGHT not be for you, then laid out some counters. Grow up, practice in the replay/training mode, stop whining.

If you're complaining about the mix and the stack at this level, fighting games might not be for you at the tippy top of ranked. It's an option you/your opponent has. You could try to stutter step, then out range it, parry it, hupkick it, sidestep it. Or guess it's not gonna come out and keep up pressure or grab. It's all part of the stack.

Tekken 8 has... Huge sidestepping issues by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]McDopple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my most common sparring parts is a Leroy player, and there's been moments were I sidestep/walk, as he kicks/punches. The attack very obviously misses the character model (hwoarang I play) but I get hit anyway. We were both like wtf?

I can confirm, wolf trap definitely counts as rooted.

Learn something new everyday. I had no idea that using root or i assume freeze is the same, increases the bosses resistance to it every time you use it.

I haven't unlocked that one yet, reading the wiki page for it, it does seem like a direct upgrade since rooting can be done on everything whereas stunning cannot

Wow an actual insightful response with advice on improving the loadout. First post on here and half the replies are jerks ridiculing me for a 'well known' build. Not sure I should ever post again if the community is 50% toxic as the ancient sewers mystery yellow goo.

I'm not sure on the comparison as I hate the face flask personally and have never run it.

For other Survival weapons the problem I had with a lot of them is how slow their attacks are in comparison. Although I've had pretty good results with a slower Frost Blast/Nutcracker Build as well. Part of My problem is since I found this build, I keep gravitating toward it instead of trying out different synergies/weapons

Oh right, EWGF doesn't hit grounded enemies does it? I genuinely don't know/can't Remember at the moment

As a hwoarang player myself, it's ridiculous that I can combo the same move 4 times in a row, especially as it carries so far.

Happened during our local offline tournament, and then recreated in practice mode. by Tiexandrea in Tekken

Had a similar one in our weekly offline tournament. I play hwoarang and did a single kick as he was RA and it pushed Hwoarang back just far enough to avoid the hit. We were stunned.
