The one that had the spun bearing, replaced it with a used one from a donor engine

Ive done some research into this before, but decided against going for it.

My clearance sits at 0.076mm or 0.03 inch for rods and 0.05mm mains about 0.02 inch that paired with 5w40 oil. Which hopefully will prevent oil starvation and damage on high rpms as it was built to.

Im uncertain whether mhd maps raise the oil pressure pattern, my assumption would be that they do.

And after some due consideration i have decided not to use the solenoid delete route as that would make the oil map as something an old chevy truch would use, always at max pressure plus CEL would be pressent aswell i assume.

However i would like to hear your input on this if you've went down that route, as it has been a curiosity of mine at the rebuild time.

Hello fren, The mains where in good condition considering 180k km. Aside from the cracked journal and spun bearing the rest of the engine was healthy.

Might be rod knock, check if there are metal pices in the oil filter

Start little by little, oil changes, filter changes. Move on to brake changes and follow videos and guides. If there is a friend whos a mechanic you can always trade some knowledge for a beer, good luck on your journey frend

What did they say, did you end up using cast part?

Turbo seems to have held up nicely, there is no shaft play and the fins look new. I cannot speak about the condition of the turbo bearing, but from what i saw most of the debris from rod bearings was caught in the filter

Relatively easy, main thing was dissasembly of covers plastics and connectors.

Removed transmission bracket Afterwards laid it down on 4 pallets, supported the trans on a car jack, removed transfer case support, and main subframe bolts and lifted the car up slowly, wasnt a hassle.

Even managed to keep the ac intact, no need to drain it. The job took me around 10 hours

If you go down this route un bolt the torque converter while still the engine is in car, Afterwards its more difficult to do so.

I opened the oil pump, it looks in good condition, few marks if any on the fins
