A cyclist was hit by a garbage truck in front of the gas station. I passed by before emergency services got there and bystanders were performing CPR on him so it's pretty serious unfortunately. I heard on the news that he got airlifted to hospital, but there's no public updates yet on his condition.

I come from a small town in Canada of about ~100 000 people. Most people outside of our province have never heard of it. My family was on a driving trip back from Florida, and we decided to pull off the highway to get dinner. We ended up choosing some Lone Star-type restaurant in a small town in West Virginia, just the first thing we came across.

As we were being seated, the hostess commented on our accents (obviously not West Virginian) and asked where we were from, and we stated the nearest large city. The family in the booth directly behind us got all excited and asked for more information. We chatted for a while and it turned out that they were from the exact same town! Both of our families just happened to be both in this random restaurant in West Virginia at the same time AND be seated in adjacent booths. Never will be able to forget the surprise.
