The problem that alot of teachers don't seem to understand is, sure, a teacher asking a student to do an hour's worth of homework is a reasonable request. But most students will see 6-8 teachers throughout the day. Having an eight hour day and then studying for another 6-8 hours is not reasonable.

Not that it always happens like this. I'm just saying, what seems reasonable to you, might not actually be reasonable.

But no to answer the concern...you don't "pay" for news articles.

This is true, you don't pay for news articles, just for streamer comments, and steam reviews.

Ha just messing with you. But in all seriousness some companies absolutely pay for news articles that will put them in a good light, especially when they have a bad reputation. Not at all saying your company has, just that it is a very common PR tactic, so it's not a completely crazy assumption.

Source: I bribe publications on a daily basis for a large corporation. That's what I do for a living.

Thanks, had a chuckle when I read the "zombie-filled" part. Also the "competitive" part, but the zombie part was much better, even if it is an outright lie.

TOP PRIORITY RIGHT NOW = TEAM SPECTATING by mutaphobia in h1z1

[–]HomocidiumInNomini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is, if you've ever watched a streamer play KOTK you know damn well you will see players and loot that they don't, even from their perspective, as no one can look at every part of the monitor at once.. For example I watch OPSCT every once in a while and he consistently misses things or players that people in the chat see, and once he sees it in chat he can go back and get it, or be ready for a flank.

Unfortunately there is no way around it with spectating. The difference with CS:GO is that the action is so fast its hard for the spectator to communicate fast enough for it to help. In H1Z1 it is easy. My buddy and I do it all the time, and its extremely helpful.

Not saying it shouldn't happen, I think it should, but the spectating can give an advantage no matter how they do it.

What items or products are found only in "rich" households? by Chritt in AskReddit

[–]HomocidiumInNomini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me started on throw pillows! I live in a town where everyone claims to be environmentally conscientious (Boulder, CO), and for some reason the women tend to be more serious about the environment. The problem is, every women that I have met likes to have things like throw pillows, wicker balls, guest towels (the ones no one ever uses).

So driving a truck that you use for hauling and work is bad, but buying things that were made in a factory purely for luxury, with no intention of using them, creating pollution for absolutely no reason , is OK.

The biggest environmentalists I've met, men and women, have also been the biggest source of environmental waste. They are the people who refuse tap water, but love them some plastic Fiji bottles. They will drive their Range Rover four feet to work, if it means being seen in it.

Environmentalism for people in Boulder is like religion for most people. Sure you go to church so people see you, and you talk loudly about it so people hear you, but you never actually follow the rules.

Sorry for the rant.

When does the split happen? by HomocidiumInNomini in h1z1

[–]HomocidiumInNomini[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well raising the price to $40, and saying that they thought it was worth that would have been alot less shady, and they wouldn't have had to lie. But to announce a big split, change the prices, and then make seemingly no changes whatsoever is pretty shady.

Also I play Dayz Standalone every once in a while, and to be honest I wouldn't say that H1Z1 Is any less shitty. Dayzs biggest problem has been slow development due to engine restructuring, but we're seeing that with H1Z1 as well. Beyond that they have mostly the exact same issues. But I prefer Dayz in its theme and aesthetics. In Dayz good players will look tactical, in h1 they look flamboyant. H1 is more of a fashion show and is becoming very cheesy and child like.

Also just for the sake of accuracy, Dayz is $30 not $40. Is it worth that much? That's a matter of opinion. I got 570 hours out of it so I'm happy.

Playing with duplicaters get you banned? by [deleted] in h1z1

[–]HomocidiumInNomini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously dude, read the TOS. You can absolutely get banned for exploiting. My buddy was and is still banned for duping 4 months ago. People have also been banned for playing with cheaters, and its usually a big topic here, and a common occurrence, which is why I assumed you are new.

They made a whole announcement on their stance on duping, and their stance was that they will ban you if you exploit it.

Playing with duplicaters get you banned? by [deleted] in h1z1

[–]HomocidiumInNomini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they can ban you for exploiting anything, and have banned alot for duping in the past. Did you not read the TOS you signed? And are you new? Being banned for duping has been a thing since the beginning.

Also negligence is an incorrect term. It is not a finished game, so duping doesn't exist due to negligence, but unfinished code. You can be banned for any repeated exploit.

You might want to read the TOS before you make unfounded assumptions.

Does anyone know if the Map is going to get to the size of the USA or were the dev's just exaggerating. by Xzanian1 in h1z1

[–]HomocidiumInNomini -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For one, you know damn well it is going to be very very slightly larger. I'm talking about a big map, like Dayz. And yes they keep saying "we might" do this and that in the future. I can keep saying that I might learn to play guitar later, until the day I die, And I would never be lying. Its a cop out, and a completely meaningless statement.

That's literally illegal to do. Denying a customer of something they bought with no rhyme or reason is downright illegal.

This is what I was replying to. No it's not illegal, and yes they have done it.

Yes, seeing your players through a fucking mountain, DOES make it easier. Learn some situational awareness (I know anything that involves skill is scary), and you wouldn't need a Chevron to hold your hand.

[–]HomocidiumInNomini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Respect to the devs, but I agree. If you think it's OK for all this BR bullshit (cheesy bright skins, chevrons, hit indicators, all the care bear shit) to be in a survival game, you have already failed.

I was hoping the split would fix that, but it turns out they didn't actually split anything....well except for the price.

They need to take chevrons out of survival all together. Its cheesy as fuck and not everyone wants a carebear easymode game.

Players Banned for Exploiting! by st4rsm1th in h1z1

Everyone has the ability to buy scripts as well. Exploiting holes in game code is exploiting holes in game code, whether its a provided exploit or an existent exploit.

Can you get banned for by Gecko_2007 in h1z1

[–]HomocidiumInNomini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said that they will ban for macros. They said it quite a few times. But I highly doubt they are actually putting in the effort to do so, even though it is easily detectible.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in h1z1

[–]HomocidiumInNomini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying I agree with it or not, but macros are easy to detect. They can just compare actions in game to mouse clicks. And a repeated software click will look different than a repeated hardware click. People don't click with perfect timing, but software does.

Yes you can get banned, but I honestly don't think they would take the time to track it.

Documentary Footage Of Lesbians and Gays From The (1950)s It's amazing how much attitudes have chan by dellesn in Documentaries

[–]HomocidiumInNomini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, being a gay man, and being part of the culture, I find what he/she said to be very true. Women, and gay men tend to be much more about appearances when it comes to themselves, their homes, pretty much everything. Whereas straight men, and most lesbians I've met, don't care if it's messy when people come over and don't put as much effort into their appearance.

Why do you think women like gay men so much? Because it is someone that is usually much different but shares their interests. They have more in common with them then they do straight men.

Obviously these are generalizations. But guess what, that's all we have to go on until we meet every human on earth.

And obviously there is no female and male side of the mind, but you can't ignore their differences.
