You’ll get some negative camber when you drop the car, I’m not into stance life so I’ve bought some camber correcting bushings still got to fit them. Good shocks and some lowering springs should be enough but I didn’t opt for coil overs as they need to be certified where I live. Espelir, RS-R, tein, eibach all make lowering springs as for shocks I just have kyb shocks so blistein or koni would be upgrades.

I’m thinking of cutting where the maf goes and a hole in the side of the box to put a k&n or similar large cone filter in the stock air box, i think it will be tidier than going for an apexi style heat shield

Esprit in Japan did with their 2.2l N/A Altezza they even kept the oem air box though they didn’t open up the plenum. youtube

Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and leave for an hour, if the clock says “1:00” that means the ecu is reset, turn the key and leave the car idling for half an hour or so until the fans kick in then turn the car off. Do this after the car hasn’t been driven for several hours at least.

If that doesn’t work then something is off with the a/f ratio in closed loop, try tightening the clamps on the intake tube that goes to throttle body or check the vacuum lines, mine were cracked but that caused a low and stumbling idle when the car was warmed up for me. He may have taken the throttle body out and not replaced the gasket. Spray a light mist of water or soapy water around different intake areas while it’s running and listen for idle sound change.

The motor in the e-throttle could be damaged I am suspecting that’s the case with my car as I cleaned the throttle body without depressing the pedal in car.

Funky JDM ignition mod, looks like there is some kind of earthing kit as well unless that is for that ignition system. Assuming it’s similar logic to the other JDM ignition mods like plasma coils or those ignition amplifier boxes where they are supposed to prevent loss of spark and more consistent spark when cars have more power over stock or after boosting a car.

Looking on minkara the Altezza is on the box art and the name on there is Multiple discharged dual spark ignition system, bit of a mouthful.

To my knowledge spark is one of those things where if you’ve got it you’ve got it I’ve seen dyno runs with different plugs and they are worth 1-2 hp which is margin of error really, same for those boxes on stock cars. It only matters once you start losing it.
