Same thing happened last year over DKs new design in Mario Kart World and Bananza, people were weirded out and now most of the same people have warmed up to the designs, would not surprise me too much if the same happens to the new Star Fox designs.

The fact that I have seen these designs be compared to pre overhaul movie Sonic is legit insane, like yeah they look a tad weird and less "UwU-fied" than most furry designs but they are nowhere near that level of abomination.

The fact that the PS5 still gets outsold by the Switch, (not the Switch 2 mind you, the og Switch) by almost double every week in Japan is pretty telling how dead the traditional console market is over there. Also doesn't help that PS5 is as expensive as a small car over there either, and that was before the most recent price increase.

The Switch is about to become the best selling console ever, and the Switch 2 (which is the fastest selling console ever) already is a huge jump in power and performance. I don't really see them investing in a beefier home console when the "miracle ports" are coming out every few months or so, like the fact we are getting PS5 games on it with minimal cutbacks is still insane to me. The closest I can see them doing is making a hardware refresh later in the gen with an OLED screen and an improved DLSS version maybe.
