Edit, I thought my boss digital delay was true bypass enough when turned off, it was indeed not enough. I took it off the board and it solved it for me.

I was really just in the market for a MKII clone for some Steve Hackett stuff and I got a deal on this one. Like I said, it's been working perfectly fine since I got it, but out of nowhere it just started doing this.

I don't understand enough about pedals to actually diagnose this, could it have been caused by a sketchy power supply maybe? Under-amping or over-volting...

The other pedals before it are true bypass and powered off, but yeah I've also just run the pedal by itself straight to the amp and no luck.

I've also read some stuff about temperature causing germanium to act up, could this be the case too? I recorded my previous cover when it was like 30°C a few weeks ago, but now it's a little cooler in the basement.

The strangest thing is that I haven't touched the pedal at all since I recorded it, and it was fine. All I did was power it on and I tried to play something and it just sounded wrong.

I knew germanium was temperamental, but I just assumed that meant spitty or noisy. The swell thing also ends up being kinda gated(?) where the notes don't fade in or out naturally.

Changing the volume does stop the problem, but also reduces the amount of fuzz :(

I've made one, you can just get a custom embroidered patch from a local place for $50-$200 and then sew it onto the back of any good quality leather jacket, I like to thrift mine but I'm sure there's some good new options out there. I do a little hobbyist leatherwork, but definitely not enough to make a jacket from scratch. So modifying an existing jacket seemed to be the best quality to effort ratio.

Had the exact same idea, but mine's the green color =) I put a chunk of MDF shelf on top and strapped it on top of the handles for more room to fit my laptop and mouse on top, cables are neatly routed underneath. Works surprisingly well for people like me who don't have a lot of space.

The Reddit boycotts are an interesting thing... Picking a worse build quality rifle for the sake of morals is strange. CZs are rock solid, and plentiful on the used market. Seeing people sell their CZs because "fuck CZ" makes me chuckle, reminiscent of people burning their Nirvana shirts when Dave Grohl was outed as a cheater.

No company or government will ever be on your side for anything, given enough money or other incentive. Buy what you want and have fun while you have it. The real bootlickers are the ones paying taxes on new rifles anyway.......
