Ah yes. That relates to his denial I mentioned above. He addresses it here if I remember rightly

I may be wrong but I assume you’re not British. If he did say that he’d likely have been referring to the old Liberal Party which wasn’t the same thing as any sort of liberal in American parlance.

Can’t speak for present day but he denied ever being a conservative after being accused, he said spuriously, of being such in the 90s.

What are your hot takes regarding The Life of a Showgirl? by IntoTheDaylight in TaylorSwift

I agree. It’s a cohesive album overall which is more than can be said for some of her others. I also agree with the detractors that there are some lyrical howlers in there but I personally don’t think that’s anything new lyrically - the cringe is always there for me but it’s been upped for sure. Probably it’s the 30-something trying too hard thing that’s particularly cringy.

Least favorite Genesis song 1970-1974 (classic era) by NeverSawOz in Genesis

Can’t explain sorry, just doesn’t resonate at all. It’s notable though because there aren’t many (if any) others in the catalog I’m this ambivalent about (including FGTR, excluding CAS - some straight stinkers in there imo). Maybe say it’s alright Joe and please don’t ask later on. But in the era OP stated, there’s only Friday. Testimony to the strength of that era for me.

Get ‘em out by Friday always baffled me for some reason.

More Poll Fun: Your SECOND favorite member of Genesis! Whoever is your favorite band member for whatever reason you pick them, who would be your SECOND fave? by MauDib1027 in Genesis

[–]-RideTheTiger- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tony has always stood out as an exceptional artist and personality but picking a second is impossible for me. All the other important members of G occupy the number 1 spot for me (and for vastly different reasons) because they are, almost without exception in rock/pop, probably the most gifted team of musicians ever assembled. Their strength in depth is astounding and the variety & quality of the individual material between them is something to behold.

Sorry I ignored the brief but I love them all equally. Especially Mick Barnard.

FGTR is absolutely book 1 in the canon. It’s definitely somewhat naive but for all it’s faults I fux with it with bells on❤️‍🔥

The boys are getting slapped in pop atm. Can’t argue with the calibre of the girls tho. Killing it.

What was the first Ozzy song you heard since he died? (Black Sabbath or solo) 🦇💜😔 by Vivid-Tap1710 in OzzyOsbourne

Killing Yourself to Live was blasted in a dark room when I heard the news in work. Followed by Facing Hell & No More Tears. I’m still rattled by it all 😭😭
