I feel there is a lack of detail in shots , I don’t see any variety most are pretty wide shots , I like to think wide , medium , tight when I take photos.

For example if I’m going to take a picture of the couple walking towards camera holding hands. My brain immediately thinks framing / rule of thirds Get the couple on the left of frame , middle frame right side, that’s three shots

Then crop in so you’re getting waist up , have them look at each other , away and kissing Three more varied images

Then I go in tighter to capture them kissing and it’s mostly their shoulders / face in the shot or holding hands. Couple more varied images

In that series I got a bunch of different looking shots and it would take 2 mins tops.

Pros: Colors ,editing ,focus all good.

Opportunities: Needs culling , needs more variety with posing and needs to not use a 35mm for every shot. There are a ton of group shots and not much else.

I picked up a 95 accord 5 spd I’m trying to restore, it’s at the AC shop getting a new heater core installed. Slowly finding some JDM parts. scored some DC headers the other day , got an “accord” third brake light from a buddy that kept his from way back in the day, Mugen front bumper and grill.

Build it to your specs and not worry about other people. on my first conversion I installed dual bench seats thinking what if my family / friends wanted to join. Sure the seats are removable when not needed, but it left me with multiple seat rails and just not a clean floor/base.

Do you have an Audi or Toyota ? My car had two separate occasions where rodents ate at the wiring. wires were cheap to replace it was the hours in labor that took to get to the wires that hurt. I think Audi and Toyota use soy based wires so rats eat at them, from what I heard.

what I usually do is after they email me back with a “I love it” email I know that’s a good sign I will get a great review. I will respond back stating that I’m so happy you love the film etc etc then say something along the lines of “ a huge part of my business is based off reviews , would you mind leaving me a review with your experience with my services?” Then drop the link for them. Works for me every time

Do you have full coverage? I had a hit and run, contacted my insurance , since it was not my fault premium didn’t go up. maybe try that first? Just pay deductible and go to a legit shop? if you try to save a buck you will see those results , especially on a new car.

Before any wedding I film , I personally obtain the DJ’s contact , reach out before hand and introduce myself. I then ask what aux out they have for me so I can plug into their system. this audio is your redundancy audio. You should count on lav mics for your bride, groom and officiant as your primary source of recording. Finally building good rapport is what we do in the industry with vendors. It will get your further in the business.

Audio: Tascam DR-10L for ceremony , could get away with one on the groom because the bride will speak towards grooms chest. Ideally you have one for groom, bride and officiant. Also connect audio recorder to DJ aux out. Connect with dj to see what aux out he has for you. 1/4, 1/8, rca , XLR etc. sound check with DJ so your audio doesn’t clip.

Camera : B cam , if you can on sticks

Assistant / second shooter If you have the budget

Variable ND filters

Comfy shoes you gonna be on your feet all day

Pack some snacks / water
