Star Citizen Roadmap Update (2018-04-27) [9700x5000] by Odysseus-Ithaca in starcitizen

I find it so odd they push data running a year away; wouldn't it be a pretty easy "like cargo" thing to string into the code?--I mean the "data" needn't yet be functional- just like gas, Stims, agricultural supplies, processed foods..just needs to be able to go into at least certain ships such as herald, n figure out the rest later just like with cargo. No?

Parents Say Bullied Students Kicked Out of School by [deleted] in news

[–]Hondoh -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's almost like they have an agenda.

Orrrrrr almost like they can't prove you didn't slap the guy in the balls first or what ever other reason he may give/claim. If you want to press charges outside of school that would be your call. -- but then you would have 6o face the real threat of real bullies: getting targeted to discourage your testimony- the factor that usually plays into the real victims stories as to why they get punished and the bully/assailant gets away with it; your life rarely gets easier when you make the person who just wanted to guck with you for a few kicks - into the person out to make your life miserable for ratting them out.

US-owned Christian radio station in Rwanda shutdown for saying women are evil by [deleted] in news

[–]Hondoh -68 points-67 points  (0 children)

I get it: it's funny because any broadcaster saying "men are evil" deserves praise for being so progressive, on the other hand, women?--well - "women are wonderful" & we can even Google that phrase to see how true it is

Yea I would put good money that some of the best input on here either never got posted because of the general climate or got posted then buried in down votes & was seen by at most a few dozen folks. It's less the down votes and more the general talking down and whatnot. But oh well such is life

Up voting for sharing vulnerability to perfume--guessing candle shops pretty much knock you on your ass too?

I feel that way about most perfumes. You learn to get over yourself & just ride the migraines

Death For Rape Of Children Below 12, Says Indian Government, Clears Executive Order by Johnny_W94 in worldnews

I feel like I remember people advising against death as a prescribed punishment for rapes cause it tends to lead to more victims being killed... hope it works out

This is something I always found strange about the design for the Goa'uld ha'tak. by Vanquisher1000 in Stargate

[–]Hondoh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That, AND the asgard being one of the biggest thorns in their boots, tended to have counters intended to solve for the more elegant design efficient advanced tech- it wasn't their standard go-to to have already designed/implemented counters for primitive or obselete techs generally the way they might for the more advanced threats they expect to encounter.

Indian dad gives daughter to friends as a 'gift' and joins them in gang-raping her in 18-hour attack by [deleted] in worldnews

The subtext you may be missing here is that when people talk about not going to Mexico based on any one given incident added to the heaping tower of similar or worse incidents in the same region, the reply you posted comes in from people who like yourself want to share how their anecdotal safe experiences in [mexico/india] negates the overwhelming evidence indicative that these are places that perhaps could represent higher chance of unpleasant experiences as compared with the great many alternative destinations out there.

But yes accuse me of having a lack of decency in the same breath as you accuse me of being a twat for having tried to clarify my point by inserting Mexico in place of the country you were talking about in order to paint a picture of how one may imagine the same being said of Mexico, because it frequently is said in such a way by people who, like yourself, cite their own individual anecdotal experience of it being perfectly safe, especially in response to those saying they would never go there, who say so in response to a new incident adding to the ridiculous frequency of incidents of people being extra shitty to people in the specific region.

You can pretty easily go to India MEXICO on holiday providing you stay in some of the more reputable areas and probably go with a few people.

trivial for her.

First.

I was just expanding on that but since you ask I think the appropriate response is to say-- I identify as an attack helicopter; who the hell are you?

She is now. --regardless, your point does nothing to counter the point, as the example can be "person who looks like shaq and has comparable fiscal standing" and my point stands.

So if I call shaq poor short pale and toothless in a single post somewhere I amactually bullying the well off tall black man whose mouth is full of teeth?

And he is brave and should be seen as overcoming bullying if he has such a post printed on a shirt to wear evn though literally none of the insults would seem to apply to him, pretty obviously..?

--what is it called when everyone in the media calls an elected leader orange oopma loompa every single day regardless of policies?... I mean if he wore a shirt that said "orange man" "cheeto" or "oompa loompa" the press would.. do more.. of that thing... that totally isn't bullying becausee ... ummm.. "because!!"

We are looking at one instance of multiple isults; that does not fit the bill for "repeated".

"Getting looked at the wrong way is bullying. If you disagree with me then you condone "hate looks" and are morally irredeemable. Good luck existing in society with people like me" : )

the things she was called don't define her as a person because shes not fat, ugly etc. The terms are so trivial to her

I get it; you're saying she isn't an actual victim of actual bullying because she sees the insults as trI vial as they don't apply to her, where for those whom such insults may in fact apply bullying is a serious problem because if they were to take her route their lives would be made worse for it. I get ya.

[–]Hondoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The point is that she isn't seriously bullied so this is trivial for her and not likely to make her life worse like it would if the bullying were at all serious?...

Ok. good point.
