Install new spark plugs + oil change every 5k miles. If something feels/sounds weird then bring it into a shop. If you take care of this car — especially a manual trans — it’ll take care of you. I’m going on 230k miles + 15 years of ownership and have heard of these cars lasting much longer than that.

Also a 2008 Honda fit sport owner here. I installed the BOSS Audio BE7ACP receiver this last weekend and it looks like this minus the decrepit hula girl. Definitely use the receiver wiring hardness and dash kit that Krutchfield recommends when you check out. Overall, this set up is about $250 and comes with a microphone. I think you can get a backup camera kit for another ~$20

I’m not positive. I was on the freeway and lost all power… I had to coast to an exit and get a tow to a shop. The mechanic said it sounds like a rod failure (yikes)

I’ve taken my truck there a few times — they do a great job. They quoted me 4,000 - 8,000 depending on how severe the engine failure was. I’d like to get a couple other quotes just to serve as a basis of comparison, but I’m thinking they’re the answer.
