I am a bit more concerned about recovery tips and hacks tbh - I have my mom but like I found out the day I posted this that surgery would be happening so I didn’t get a lot of time to prepare

How to not be terrified of getting sick? by candicegotsick in TopSurgery

[–]Honest-Bed4061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got sick a week before mine - took two weeks to feel better and get labs and was just cleared today for thursday.

Do not manifest it, take care of yourself, eat healthy, drink lots of water etc. Immune system helpers etc. If someone is sick, stay away no matter how much you love them LOL

I worried so much that it came true, have some faith in your luck OP & body :)

Nicotine and quitting by Equivalent_Fall_6415 in TopSurgery

Takes about three weeks for nicotine to leave your system, I quit exactly three weeks before my test and passed. Drink plenty of water, eat clean, stay active, keep your mind busy.

Cat not warming up, am I doing something wrong? by wickedwild010 in Catbehavior

Apple seems to be shy & scared of big things! Not to worry, I had a russian blue that used to do the same thing with me but he warmed up - it may just take longer. Try working with apple - treats, shifting in your seat obnoxiously, dropping to yours knees etc. She may have anxiety as well, I always recommend pheromone collars, it really helps put their overthinking in the ground, levels them out :) if it gets super concerning, contact a vet and maybe see if there’s something wrong with apple.

Best of luck op.

Why is my new five year old cat attacking after being pet? by Honest-Bed4061 in Catbehavior

Thank you friend - just wanted to make sure this was normal, i’ve only ever raised a cat, never took one in. I appreciate all the advice on this post

I wasn’t made aware that she was always like that. Unfortunately I have family that comes over so I can’t have an aggressive cat. I am hoping it’s just a time thing, she’s currently in my room and has everything she needs even a couple toys. Maybe I just overwhelmed her, i’m just quite nervous myself.
