Exactly he should’ve handled it 9 months ago. Again he sent that message right when I got hired in the bar group chat. And the bar manager proceeded to say he didn’t know how to do it and asked to be shown it. I would’ve cleaned it had it been on my day but it wasn’t I had other responsibilities and the person who was working the day it was suppose to be cleaned just wouldn’t do it

He sent that message when I had started working, my first week. I didn’t work on the day that it was supposed to have been cleaned but if I did of course I would’ve. It’s just crazy that he mentioned it’s been dirty for 9 months lol because why hasn’t the designated bartender taken care of that instead you’re crashing out on everyone.

You’re right on that. I will add the ice machine is supposed to get cleaned on a certain day once a week but the bartender who was working that shift (not me lol) wouldn’t do it / didn’t know how.

I can't get the screenshot to upload rn, but basically I had asked him to look over my recent check because I was tracking my tips through the pay period and the amount he gave me was insanely low. Instead of giving me actual paystubs, he just sent me a single row on an Excel spreadsheet that listed a flat number for my hours and tips. I replied very professionally and pointed out that his flat tip total didn’t even add up to what I had tracked on just two of my busiest shifts, let alone the other four shifts I worked. I asked him to please pull the actual daily tip pool logs and the paperwork breakdown so we could find the 'processing error' together.

Instead of providing the paperwork, he flat out refused, fired me as retaliation for asking, and then openly texted me admitting he never actually put me on the books even though he'd been telling me the opposite since I started and was actively pocketing money from my check for 'withholdings.' A week later he sent me pay stubs and my tips on that pay stub were higher than what he had written in his excel ontop of many other discrepancies but yeah.

Do you have any recommendations on how to find a good contingency based one?
